Mirror Banged Right Off

Mirror Banged Right Off
Someone (ahem *wife* ahem) was driving a bit to close to the right side of the road and accidentally bumped a recycling box (big blue one full of carboard).
No significant damage was done to the car, or the box, body is ok, but the mirror came right off. It was only dangling by the power chord when i finally saw it. I can sort of place it there now, but it doesn't quite fit right, but almost. I think I just want a way to attach it. The power still works..
Question is: How can I attach the mirror? The screw jacks seems to have ripped a bit so there is damage there, and besides, the screws appear to be on the inside of the mirror, so when i put the mirror in place, the screws are sandwhiched so I can't imagine how I would screw it together anyhow.
Should I try some adhesive? Something else? Would love a temporary solution at least until i can take it to the shope (want to have some other work done).
How would you recommend I attach it now?

The inside panel just pops off (it's clipped on). Not sure if you could fix it or not. Maybe some epoxy might work, but I'd say it's time to buy a new mirror.
