Anyone tried both of these products? What's the diff? I've read that the paste provides a better, more durable shine...any truth to this?

There is a spray but it's a detailing one from the looks of it.

I used the NXT liquid twice so far. Not happy with the results...but I think it's my own fault, I am applying it over some of that "wax while wet" stuff. I need to start all over and get back to initial finish. I just don't have a place to hand wash it tho...

I just used the Meguires NXT Tech Wax and I love the shine. I previously used Meguires Gold and liked it as well. I think the NXT Tech Wax shines a lot better, almost like it is wet but everytime I touch the car I leave a fingerprint. It seems that the NXT leaves a thin coating of "oil" for lack of a better word, on the car. I am not totally sold on the NXT yet but I will wait to see how it holds up over the hot summer sun.

When I got my wax the explanation I got was that the paste is best used for older cars that are starting to get some wear on the paint. It better fills the wear on the older paint jobs. But when you have a brand new car with that nice smooth coat the liquid is the best route to go.

I tried the NXT liquid this weekend. I put it on my '05 and was like "eh"...couldn't tell if it was shiney 'cause the car was new or if it was the wax.
So I washed/waxed my wife's car using the NXT for the finish. WOW! Made the car really shine! I had two neighbors come over and tell me how impressed they were with the car washing job I did. Didn't tell them it was the Meguires and not me, though.

"As for a paste being better than a liquid, like Shane said, with Meguiar's waxes, our chemist formulate them in such a way that the only real difference the form in which they're in, there is not a performance difference between the two different forms.
