Liquid Glass questions

I've recently seen a few cars polished using Liquid Glass, including a fellow forum member's SGM GT500.....amazing results. I'd like to try it on my black '14.

What type of prep should I do beforehand besides the obvious washing?

Presently I've used Mequiars liquid wax along with their Carnuba products. The car is always clean and I'm not sure it needs to be clayed.

What should I use to remove the current polish/wax before I use Liquid Glass?

Liquid Glass is an "old school" sealant, it is still a viable product.

Give the car a Dawn wash to remove the wax on the surface, then wipe down with IPA to ensure that there is no wax left on the surface. If you feel any roughness in the paint, clay it.

Liquid Glass has a pre-cleaner you can use, personally, I don't feel it is necessary.

Apply it per instructions, and allow it to cure properly.

Thanks....what is IPA?

isopropyl alcohol, it takes "make the surface clean" to another level. Gets rid of all the oils and grease your hands may have put on the surface.

Couldn't agree more. I use 90% Isopropyl alcohol to clean my glass. No need for overpriced, excessive solvents. When I have hard water spots(mineral deposits), I use a bit of steel wool and all is good.
