How do I wax/polish by hand?

I use Zaino and just follow their directions:

Kinda goes against conventional wisdom, but so far I've only used straight lines with my Zaino, and I have no swirls to complain of.

I haven't had the chance to do mine yet, but I will follow Zaino's advice to the letter. Every car I have ever seen done with Zaino has looked simply amazing. Check out the gallery on thier website. The results are incredible.
