Picked up car from dealer yesterday, open hood and everything is soaked with this clear greasy fluid. I'm told it is engine dressing, and believe me it is all over the engine bay. Did anyone else get this ? It seems like all it will do is collect dust and dirt. Should I spry it off ?

Trying to post pics but web site says file size is to large, any suggestions ?

No, I didn't have anything like that on my engine.

This is normal for some dealerships when doing their detailing, like the tire shine on the tires this spray can result in the collection of dust.

Tires were shiny. Engine was not. When I opened the hood, everything just looked new - and did not need dressing.

They had obviously sprayed mine down because there were waterspots on all the black plastic, but no film, cleaner, or grease of any kind.

If it were me, I would take back to dealer and tell them to clean up .... Your engine compartment is going to look like crap in a few weeks ....

Yes .... my engine compartments are nearly spotless ....

No dressing of any kind on mine, just new looking, and dry!
I would spray it off so it doesnt act like a magnet for dust or dirt, or have the dealer get if off for you.

Congrats on the new MG .....
