Detailing d'oh moment....

So... I get home from the firehouse after working a 24 hour tour of duty.. wifey was sleeping in, so I spent the morning organizing my detailing supplies, refilling bottles odf various solutions, vacuumed the interior of the Edge, and cleaned a whole bunch of polisher pads. I put them on a big flat piece of cardboard to dry in the sun... ran a few errands, stopped at my son's firehouse to chat, stopped and got dinner.. forgetting about the pads.. the lawn sprinklers came on at 6:00 PM, now they are soaked again... d'oh!

Bro, make sure you rinse and scrub each one of those pads well... Who knows what sort of debris got caked in on those pads as they sat outside. I usually just scrub them inside the house in my laundry room sink...then set them out to dry on a drying rack above my shelf...far away from harm :)

I cleaned them again, then put the in the garage to dry overnight. They were still a wee bit damp when I got up in the morning, I put them in the dryer on air fluff for half an hour and they were dry after that. Detailed a 2006 dark blue metallic VW Passat on Moday, the owner loved it! I used the Meg's 105/205 combo and #21 synthetic sealant.
