Awesome!! Checking that site out now :)

I've used Maguiar's Hot Rims All Wheels for some time on various cars. I also use it on the tires to get the brake dust off of them and then treat them with Griot's Garage Vinyl and Rubber Dressing so they have a great deep black matte appearance.
|
Do you think griots is a better shine the that spray on tire shine stuff? I've never heard of griots so just curious :)
|
I hate shiny tires. Rubber is NOT shiny. The Griot's product produces a matte finish that is a deep black.

I just wash them once a week with the rest of the car. I make sure I reach in and wash the rim all the way through, too. Then I blow them with a leaf blower to get the water from around the lug nuts. I have not had a problem with break dust damage or residue so far.

You should check out the California Rim duster on Amazon, it is perfect for removing brake dust in between washes.

Its designed to react with the embedded braked dust and dissolve the metallic material. Product turns from clear to purple while its working its magic. Also safe on all types of wheels which is nice for someone like myself who encounters a variety http://shinesupply.com/collections/w...ducts/cool-guy http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/064...g?v=1435707191 Some solid wheel and tire cleaning tips in this video |
I have a special brush that goes all the way thru - use Meguires car wash to begin with and then polish it up with Chemical Guys WAC303 Wheel Guard Rim and Wheel Sealant - 8 oz. I use BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant on the tires. It also works on all the black plastic trim - nice! Not shiny very matt looking lasts a long time on the tires.
