5spd manual, it's a no brainer.
A 3 speed if your soley using the car to drag.

The quantity/pattern of gears is the least of your worries, it's smooth launches and smooth shifts.
Convince you parents to get you the 05 V6 manual, and you'll be one happy driver :drive:
