For the V6 owners only

I don't care what others say when I tell them it's a V6, I still get tons of complements on it. It was my first car, and I love it, sure knowing what I know now, I might have looked around for a GT or taken up that offer on a 03 Mach 1, but then I wouldn't have had all the experiences that I've had in my sixxer.

I love my v6 too, I traded in an LS1 Trans Am for it and never looked back. I've owned an '03 Mach 1 before too and this v6 gives me the same visceral experience as driving both of them. I've actually never driven a 400+ HP car before so I guess I don't know what I'm missin. High 13's in the quarter is good enough for me. LOL
I think the V6 cars are pretty cool (except for the driveshaft) - It will be interesting to see how the evolve as hot rods.

I just love when someone is in my car and say something like "your car is awesome, its a v8 right?"... then I explain to them that if they had any idea why a v8 "would be better" than they wouldnt be asking that question. lol.
v8's are awesome because of two awesome things of awesomeliness:
1) sound
2) torque
so, if you think my v6 might be a v8, then theres no difference and the "shoulda bought a v8" response is moronic. I honestly enjoy the little 6 vs 8 discussions on here because we all (well most of us...hehe) know a good bit about our cars. I think why a lot of the v6 guys get frustrated is from non-car people telling them "shoulda got a v8".

I think the people that get in ur car think its a v8 because most people think of a mustang as a sports car. I think the people in ur car that cannot tell the difference between know little about cars and mustangs. They should know right off the bat if its a v8 or v6 by the styling cues.

Well cheap naturally aspirated power anyways, even in the. post millennial automotive world there is no replacement for displacement and increasing the cylinder count is a viable way to do it. The other way would be rpm (which if the current V6 could maintain its 162 ft/lbs at peak power would need an additional 2500 rpm to match the coyote's output - although a 9000 rpm screamer would be pretty neat provided you had enough extra gears in the transmission to make it a useful street car)

No matter who you are or what you have in this life, there are people who will have more and people who will have less. And there are people whose favorite color is red and whose favorite color is blue, and Fords, and Chevys, etc... My ex is thrilled to death to have a Prius and bless her she should be. It's exactly what she wants, for all the right reasons for her.
And most folks would just like to get along with one another and be happy for each other.. Okay, I'm not at all sure about that last but I'd like to think so.

Not at all, we parted many years before. Wonderful woman, and a great mother to the kids.
And frankly, her being determinedly sensible about expenses is not a bad thing either when one's paying child support.

As a fellow V6 owner respectfully shutup about this, I am so tired of hearing people complain oh they make fun of the V6 oh boo-hoo. Seriously! do you love your car? If you do then **** everyone else and deal with it already.

to be fair my first two mustangs were sixxers.. loved them.
but..
once you go Big v8..
but..
I did just order a focus st..
but..
I did replace my 2008 Shelby GT with a fiesta SE..
But
I replaced my 1999 v6 that replaced my 2000 v6 with a focus SVT.. I raced the kid that bought my old sxxer with my svt focus and wiped the floor with him.

It's a trivial nuisance at most.
