Take dealer stock or order one
Waited till the '14's are up for order and was going to order one. When I dropped by the dealer, He has one with the options I want. GT Premium, Track Pack, Reverse sensors and Recaros.
The big problem is the color is not what I wanted...
I want Sterling Gray Metallic and the one on the lot is black.
To me the Gray is more of a classy color where as the black is more sinister. Plus I've only had one black vehicle, a truck, and it was hard as heck to keep clean.
The dilemma.. If I take the dealer car I can be driving this week.
If I order I won't be driving until the middle of April.
I got to playing with that Ford customizer app and came up with this. I added the stripes as I can't stand those blacked out rides.
Do it or wait?

I've got an '01 Bullitt that is black. I wanted green. This particular car had engine, braking, and suspension modifications which are fun, along with some heritage to how it got those parts, but I've had this car for 4 1/2 years and still wish it was green.
Color weighs big in a car buying decision, in my opinion.

Order one, or wait another month when more start hitting dealerships and there's a good chance one like you want will show up somewhere nearby.

If you want it now, I am sure there is one sitting on a dealer lot somewhere waiting for you to come drive it home today. Have your dealer do a dealer search and either dealer trade for it or go pick it up.
If you don't mind paying a little more and would rather have the latest and greatest..the perfect in your eyes optioned out, right color, no one else has driven or test drove your future car then wait and order it.
There is no reason to take a color that you don't want when it is a new vehicle. Now if it were pre-owned and a few years old you might have to settle for close, but not when ordering is an option.
Good Luck.

Get exactly what you want. You'll be happier in the long run
I would order if it was me.
I had to order mine to get the interior I wanted, I wasn't settling

I had that instant gratification feeling, I"m over it
Have your dealer do a dealer search and either dealer trade for it or go pick it up.
I did a quick search using the Dealer Locator thing on the Ford website and found two that are 90% of what I want.
One has all I want and the Shaker Pro sound system, the other doesn't have the reverse sensors/alarm.
I'll try the dealer first to see if he can locate exactly what I want.
Funny how buying a new car kicks in some strange and powerful emotions such as the "gotta have it now" instant gratification response. Salesmen probably love to see that.

Ordering is the right way to go, in my opinion.
Once you've placed your order, Deysha (our FordCustomerServices rep) will be able to track it for you

I had a little Ranger in a color almost GHIG, can't remember the color name but it's like Calypso blue only in green. Kept that truck 16 years. Many compliments on the color. Even had people flag me down asking to sell it.
I'm older now.. I should stick with more subdued colors.

Think of it kind of like going to Burger King....Have it your way, have it your way!!!!! Don't forget to check your order before leaving the drive thru!!!!!

If your not dead set on the color go with the impulse buy. Black can be very beautiful when it is clean. But if the Color is important for you do the kids and Christmas thing and grin and bear it while you wait. if you plan to customize you can make any color work for you. good luck in your decision.

i got one off the lot and was bemused by the options it had - comfort package, premium. the only things i wanted were the v8 and the sterling grey. however, i would have taken if it were black because **** that's a good color too. tough choice bud. if your imagination has always been sterling grey, but black would work, then get it!
