Thanks, cool site,
Me and a few others on this board have been going twice a year for the last 5 years. My Mustang GT, SVT Focus and BMW Z4 all handle the Dragon Fine. Now that the word is getting out about how much fun the dragon is there is a lot more traffic than there used to be.

If you go, make sure you drive the Cherahala Skyway, Foothills Parkway and North Carolina 28, they are almost as fun as the Dragon, especially the Cherahala Skyway. It goes form about 2000' to over 5000' in elevation.

We have started out in Robbinsville with 60 degree weather and bright sunshine and at the top of the Cherahala been in the clouds with 1/4" of ice on the trees and it was below freezing!!

Yep, I drove it a year ago last fall. It was a blast! I haven't been on the other road mentioned but I will be back down there the first week of May and might check it out.

The Dragon and the Cherahala Skyway are a lot of fun. I went up there a couple years ago during the week. A lot less traffic and less chance the cops are up there. This is a good website on it -- www.tailofthedragon.com

I've seen some pretty nast turns on a highway not to far from me. The map shows a pretty sharp turn, the warning sign shows a 90*, and to go about 20, that turn was about 130*, and you'd be dead if you took it at 20.
