Stolen Mustang Alert: ’66 Family Heirloom Gone

The idea of getting your Mustang stolen is tough enough to swallow, but the idea of having a ’66 model taken from you that you'd planned to hand down to your five-year-old grandson makes it even tougher to swallow.

Sorry for your loss - exactly why I took the precautions and put a viper alarm system on mine w/ gps tracking. Did it have any sort of alarm system? How was it stolen? I don't mean to prod the wound, but informing the rest of us can potentially save more of these disgusting acts from occurring.
That’s exactly what happened to Fred Sult in North Carolina, according to a 13 News WLOS.com report.
“You know when the phone rings at 4 o’clock in the morning that there’s something wrong,” Sult told the local ABC News affiliate. “They rammed the door and got it up enough to bring the car out.”
Suit said he bought the Mustang 12 years ago, and is even considering offering an award for the car.
“I just want them caught,” Sult said. “We want the car back. It’s too sentimental.”
Anyone who has any information about the Mustang is being asked to contact the McDowell Sheriff’s Office at (828) 652-2235.

They found the Mustang stripped in a neighboring county. Thy had it on the news this a.m. (WLOS). Pretty sad to see it like that. The owner said he'll be looking carefully at any 'new' Mustangs in the area. At least he has a bunch of other Fords in his garage. This was just one of them, but he'll have to start all over again with this one. The main thing is that he doesn't want to be a victim again. These bad guys need to be caught.
Tbh id start a fundraiser to raise money for him to give a boost to restarting his project. Do it as a car show (free entry) butbsell bbq plates and accept donations. Maybe bring the stripped out mustang as well and who knows maybe someone will give in some leads as to who stole it.
