Nope... They made their choice, I made mine!

Never felt bad for them but I've felt superior to them. LOL.

I certainly take no joy in your misfortune, but it's reassuring to hear that I'm not the only one who's done this - three minor scuffs in four months, and I feel like an idiot...but I'm learning to live with it, too. I drive the car every day and put a lot of mileage on it.

Any excuse to post mine when the convertible thread pops up.

Am I the only one who thinks the convertible is also a fine looking Mustang design style with the top up? Makes me wonder how an S197 would look as a proper hardtop (coupe) ala first generation.

I agree...they look great top up or down. Of course mine is usually down.

I do like the look of the coupe lines better compared to the top up, but, the 'vert still looks pretty dang good with the top up (and especially down)...

I wish I could post some of mine, but it just sits in the garage as it pours down rain right now... *sigh* It's got to stop raining all the time at some point, right?! LOL!

LOL! It's down as much as possible, that's for sure!

When I was still back in CA, I'd go on cruises with GT500's and Bosses and all sorts of fancy Mustangs and mine would usually get the most attention, cause a) I was usually only 1 of 2 Verts in the group and b) the only one with the red interior! Definitely stands out when everyone else has black/grey interiors...

I actually prefer pics of the top up. Then it has that 'roadster' look to it

As it should. 401A Brick is not too common. I've seen it with black, silver, and white...would love to see how it looks with SGM too.

I can think of several other colors I would like over my black, but that doesn't mean I don't like black. However, when I'm at a show or cruise mine always draws nice crowds and compliments...even before it got the silver stripes. That's when I'm really happy with it, despite my "boring" Black/Cashmere 401A!!! People really react well to black cars. It does my ego good when it can turn heads.

In Oct or Nov of 2013 I came within minutes of pulling the trigger on a 2010...negotiated the price, had the loan and down payment...I was ready to go. I got cold feet when I realized that what I really wanted was a stick. Despite how gorgeous this was (and only 17K miles), I'm glad I walked away.

It looks awesome with SGM! My Mineral Grey '05 had the red leather and it looked awesome (and my '06 white as well)! When I ordered my '13, I wanted SGM with the red, but it wasn't offered... It was in 2014 though! Grrrr......

Yeah, keeping black looking good is a pain, but it looks just so dang good all clean and shiny!

Good call not going with the 2010. The '06 I had was a GT Vert but with an auto. Got a GREAT deal on it and thought I could live with the auto, and did for a few years, but then I really started missing the shifting each time I drove it... Which is why I finally had to trade it in and order the '13! Just couldn't take it anymore (and the fact we had a Mini, truck and motorcycle, all manuals and the Mustang was the only car we had that was an auto!) LOL!
