No it's not Gas Rhonda. Or Ohio George not sure... I'll have to find the original and see if I can make out who it is. Not many drove SOHC funny cars....

Tom Grove.... whoever that is. He is the one pictured in the avatar.....

Every single one. Met most of them except Ronnie Sox. Went, some time ago, to Venolia Pistons in LBC and met Papa Joe Pisano and Mike Dunn(Who was a machinist at the time). Also met and talked to many many times Old man Reath, can't remember the first name, who was part of the Reath & Dunn Funny cars (Jim Dunn, Mike's Dad). I grew up around drag racing and at one time was '' this close to getting a crew job on Joe Amato's TF car, in the 90's... didn't want to leave the steady job I had and I've kicked myself in the butt ever since(especially since they laid me off in 2006). I should have jumped on that while I had the chance. Feces Occurs

Ok not on a complete tangent... but Pics=good I took a bunch all the time and had shoe boxes filled with them... I have no idea where they went. Mom & Dad could still have the ?????

I like that Craftsman but it's over priced even on sale...$1,100.00 Gee!

Hummmm

Jed
For me, Craftsman is generally more expensive, but I'd rather have craftsman, because I know the quality Im going to get...that being said, I'd wait a little, the price on that may go down, or on sale, they've got stuff on sale all the time

Vortech update...

Mornin' all!

Latest pics from the install garage...

Blower is the only thing that will get removed and bolts Loctited, then re-installed.

Only cosmetic complaint is the stupid Meziere cap, that when installed, the letters aren't straight.. it's off at an angle. Oh well, better than seeing a cheap Stant cap.

I did too good of a polishing job on the Cantons, now my blower looks dull!

I can start seeing light at the end of the tunnel!

You should use those blankets as seat covers

New fuel line ready to go!

The stock plastic fuel hose is a POS for tapping. I'm not sure how long a 'T-tap' would've survived without it eventually failing and spewing fuel into the engine bay (courtesy of my Boost-A-Pump ).

Factory ends have been cut off the OEM line and welded onto the new steel braided line. AN fittings all around, including the NPT block where the fuel pressure sending unit will thread into.

This is the line that goes from the fuel rail to the fuel line (from the tank).

It's to cool the engine, right? At least that's what I remember Strat telling us in Engines 'B'.
For Stratamier..

New heads? Figures.

I know my miles are low, but Hector had zero issues backing out my plugs.

Plastic fuel lines suck, stainless steel brake lines are a lot better as well.

And, if I grill up some Carne Asada tacos served with ice cold Dos Equis XX beer, I'm sure to woo the crowd!
