Forgot about the tuner... don't need a radar detector (my neighbor is THE sheriff).

Getting the rear windoe tint replaced as you can see a line in the middle of the window.

Also having them check out the speedometer as I think it is WAY off.

Talkin to the Accessories guy , and he quoted me a price for their body shop to paint on the stripes with clearcoat for $1800.

Doesn't sound too bad of a price, I've seen alot higher.

Before you commit, be sure youre 100% sure on the color, width, and spacing of the stripes. With paint, there ain't no goin' back!

How far is it off? Mine, my buddy Mike at work, and a few other people I know that have Mustangs are all 3 MPH fast.

Try this:

Hit the button to change to AVERAGE MPH. Set the cruise with your speedo needle at 50 or 55 or 60 (doesn't really matter). Now, when on a non-hilly road, press the RESET button and give it a few seconds to figure your average speed. (The computer is more accurate than the needle).

When I'm going 60 MPH and do that, the digital screen shows 57 MPH.

Bet they'll love it!

Well, we leave in the morning, so I'll be on and off here and there through the next 9 days.

checking in

Thought it was about time to join this post, since I just found out it existed. I tried to baby sit Tom's GT convertible while he went on vacation since mine is tied up at the dealer having the transmission replaced. (No such luck) My tranny was one of those that whined like a supercharger through the gears and cried considerably at a steady 60mph in 5th. Not even the flowmasters and radio at mid-volume would mask it. I would have really liked them to fix the tranny so I could report what the problem was but the dealer didn't want to touch it like it had a plague or something. So, I guess I have a 50-50 chance of getting another whiner considering the results from the tranny whine post.

No Mods at all to the tranny??

Take it to another dealer.

I hear a little whine thru my Pro 5.0 shifter , but that was known of before I installed it.

I think you are getting screwed , so another dealer may be the better option.

By the way.....Hiyas.

Mike.
We have already seen several pictures of your car .
The first page has all the bookmarks to the installs, write-up, etc that we have done to our Ponies.
So much information on this site, it's ridiculous.

We are in Virginia now... and my car is safely covered in my garage. I didn't want to let Mike drive it for the week, because it may have started to whine!

Mike (KdF), Mike (matko) is getting a brand new transmission. Mine whines through the gears a little, too, but not like his did.

Susan... I'll go check my inbox now.

Bill... Good luck tonight!

Daryl... we have a free day on our road trip. I looked on a map and I thought OK was closer. If it was right next to Kentucky, we might have driven over.
