Thanks Tom for your input.
I somehow knew that the non-I/C version is stable, or else why sell it (especially by Brenspeed)?

At this point, I have a difficult time justifying ~$1800 for 30 more hp's (that be $60 per hp! ).

So if I hear you correctly, if not for the mod bug, the non-I/C Vortech would still be on your car, right?

The price..Yikes!

Good hp numbers, but at a premium price.
When the smoke clears (taxes, unit, install, gauges, etc.) I'm betting you're in for ~$8+G's.

The Vortech/Paxton kit is sold.....

Going in this week is (get ready Bill ):
-Saleen VI blower
Hoping for 450 rwhp / 450 rwtq, but we'll see.

WE all hate you Tom.

Seriously, hope all goes well with the install. I'm sure Brenspeed will do everything within their power to make it right.

Yes, the non-cooled Vortech kit was a fine system for me..... Although I am looking forward to feeling the difference between it and the new setup though.

Funny that you say that... I'm debating right now if the weather is right? I want to go today. Also have my blackout panel on order and I'm debating on the sidemarker. Opinions?

Tom281...is the shaker up for grabs? might be tempted Congrats on the new set up...surprised you could hold this in for so long

The shaker is going on trade.... thanks though. As far as keeping it in, I've known for a couple of weeks but I've mostly been trying to give my buddies in the Midwest forum a hard time by not telling them.

I can already see the look on J's face when you have the engine tore apart with all sorts of parts laying on the floor mixed in with spilled coolant.

Don't forget the moleskin before you tint.

Clear turn signals and markers look good on PW.

If Leo goes TS, he'll be selling the Shaker.

(Guess same goes for me.. until the check is cut, any system is possible. )

Hey guys- what hood do you like the best for my car? Here's how it looks now...... I want a hood that will follow the theme:

Here are the hoods that I'm considering:

'67:
https://cervinis.com/large.aspx?img=1166,7019_820.jpg

Ram air:
https://cervinis.com/large.aspx?img=1171(820x549).jpg

C-series:
https://cervinis.com/large.aspx?img=..._(820x547).jpg

I'm leaning towards the '67 but I don't think the scoops are wide enough to get my 10" stripes with 1/4" pinstripes on it... and I don't want to restripe the entire car.....

Thoughts?

I vote 67 and in second the c-series. Not a fan of the ram air. Too bulky

The 67 looks good.

I was tossing this idea around too if I decide to go TS and I entertained both the Steeda cowl and Truefiber.

Striping shouldn't be a huge concern if you have them painted on the hood to match the front bumper and roof.

With your stripes, probably the ram air. Out of those, I'd go with the C Series.

You know, this time of year most people catch the flu, you guys all caught the mod bug.

The other ones scoops are way to big.

I like the '67, but actually I think my favorite is the C-series. Eitherway it will be a while before I order.... keep the opinions coming.

The Vortech/Paxton kit is sold..... Also sold the delete plates and trying to sell the Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump.

Going in this week is (get ready Bill ):

-Saleen VI blower
-Saleen 3.4 or 3.2 pulley (dyno will tell the tale here)
-Saleen water pump pulley
-Saleen upgraded heat exchanger (double the cooling capacity of the stock Saleen unit)
-Saleen Extreme inlet pipe
-Steeda cold air filter and shroud
-complete GT500 fuel system

And I'm likely swapping my hood and (what's left of my) shaker for a '07 hood from a donor car. Either a Cervini's hood or a 3d Carbon scoop will come in the spring.

Hoping for 450 rwhp / 450 rwtq, but we'll see.
Wow... I have nothing else to say

As far as the hood. I like the '67 ram air OR I think the Trufiber GTS-2(or the new GTS-3) hood would also look good. Below is a picture of my GTS2 hood. Functional ram air and rear extractors. Love the fit and finish.

Tomorrow I hope to order my Vortech HO unit I got the green light. Finances worked out MUCH better then I had planned originally. I got a killer credit card offer that I couldn't pass up. So its in the pocket now. I wont be able to do gauges right away I dont think. Hes said he would install all the gauges for one install price. I dunno, we'll see. But the overall vote here was to take Vortech over the Procharger correct? Again I'm doing it more for show then 700rwhp. If I can get 450rwhp I'm a happy camper. I know the looks of the Vortech are hands down better IMO.

I'd love to get it done before the months end. Going to a car show the 1st of March!

EDIT: I have the heat extractors blocked for rain purposes. Living in Florida its sunny one minute and pouring the next. The block are held on with 6 screws. Easy off and on.
