Probably!!

I went to the Inverness Christmas Parade today and was really flying on the way there and back. Top speed there (according to the GPS) was 96.7 MPH, and on the way back it was 103.2 MPH.

Still got 19+ MPG!

We had another great day showing off the 'Stangs... no burn-outs today, though.

JDM Lowering Mounts

Finally done Went to GTR this morning Rain or Shine! Lucky for me it was all shine.



Here is an example of the Prothane lowering mounts after JDM Engineering got a hold of it. The one on the right is JDM's modified version. The one on the left is the basic Prothane mount.



Below the JDM version and the stock mount. Look at that monster

On the road test you can definetly feel the diffrence from the stock mounts. Engine rev and acceleration much more noticable. This is good and bad and it will take some getting use to as far as the sound and increased vibration. If you crave performance all of the above is acceptable. If you like a quite cabin then you might not like this modification. Now when I start the car you can feel the torque pulse through the drive train

The whole reason I lowered the motor was to allow me to use the Steeda Strut brace here it is! I need to do one more thing which is to machine down my existing bolt caps which will eventually cover the exposed nuts that Streeda decided not to address.

Here's the bay with the strut brace.

Holy crap jed, that enigne bay (and the car for that matter) looks awesome, i dont think I've ever really seen many pictures of your car...

The stock ones are that big ?? Jeez, for some reason I didn't think they were. my god it's like a truck mount, perhaps something other than the mirrors from the F150...

I see what JDM has done, but to me, it doesn't look like it's a straight cut... is it the pic ? Did GTR say that the lowering would alter the drivetrain geometery much or at all ??

Oh yeah, that engine bay is looking sharp

Looks good Jed!

Is the NVH really that noticeable now?

BTW-Went on a ride along with SDPD yesterday. It was awesome. Like watching 'COPS' live.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate the harshness/vibration? I cant believe how big the stock mount is So what's left? I don't think there's much left for santa to bring to Jed for XMas

Ya those are some big mamas. I almost thought I had the wrong replacement part!

Bad Boy Bad Boy what ya gonna do? Buy Mustang parts!

I think I just have to get use to it. The +'s out weight the -'s. The ride now is much more of a performance experience I'll say that!

Hmm.. sounds like something I'd like!

I'd get the non-cut ones, don't need my Shaker to sit any lower.

Might be a future mod.

The stock mounts really calm down this stuff down but I would not go back to the stock set up since it's not a DD. I going to attack PV tomorrow and do a road test

So speaking of mods...

I've been thinking of either going with the SSE center fog grille. There are very few things left that I want to do to my car appearance-wise. So take this all with a grain of salt because I'm just fishing, maybe I'd get one maybe not, I don't know. Maybe I'll spend this mod money on LCA's instead ??


So Pros & Cons
I've loved the look of the SSE center fog with stripes. -- pro
I'm quite pleased with the way the car looks now -- con
It looks like every other GT for the most part --pro
can always go back to stock easily -- pro
should be spending the money on go-fast parts -- con

I dunno, what do you think ?

I'm not too big of a fan of the center fog setup. Looks good and different, but I think it's just more of a personal preference.

So, I vote for LCA's, relo-brackets and Prothane mounts!

I have my eballs on the black billet grill from CDC. Or the one that ROUSH now uses on the TrakPak. I also like the Shelby C6/C8 grill. Only problem it say's Shelby.

I vote yes Brian. I really like the center fog setup on GTs. Looks especially sharp with stripes IMHO.
