Lowered Motor Mounts

Santa left a package on my door step I opened the box and behold my JDM/Prothane engine mounts

Below are the standard Prothane engine mounts. Notice that they are taller by a 1/2 inch.

This Saturday they will be on the Roush. More feedback later this weekend

They were ordered from JDM but Prothane makes them. The cost was $185.00 bones. These are lowered and used on the Saleen stangs with SC's. The Saleen blower sits high in the engine bay and these are stock items in any Saleen with a twin screw I'm told. I need them to help with clearence for my intake with the Kenne Bell. That extra 1/2 will allow me to install my Strut Tower brace. Right now the left side of my brace comes in contact with the CAI. Hopefully this works I don't know if it will 100%, but I'll make it work

Jed the mounts look really nice. Not sure how visible they are from the engine bay but that's not why you bought them so....

I was looking for a new avatar and thought that I might want it "cop" related for awhile to match my user name. I saw that one and cracked up and had to use it. I'm really surprised that nobody has said anything about it.

As far as Tom2's...

Nice motormounts Jed, when you lower the engine, does it change the rest of the drivetrain angles and such?

Bingo! Habu got it!

The avatar is a live shot of the lead singer of Tool (Maynard James Keenan) onstage during a concert earlier this year.

Or for any interested parties, here is an article in the November issue of Relix magazine featuring the band (hope the link still works):

That's awesome Tom2. Did you go see Tool live? My roommate is a huge Tool fan and was so angry when he missed them coming here earlier this year.

See I laugh everytime I've see this avatar... something about it... Then again we've got cops on Segways in the malls here so I dunno something seems funny about the mag wheels and the whole thing.

Tool.... I'm not a HUGE fan but I still like them. I think if I listened to them more it would help. Haven't seen them live though. That would probably be a great show !!

Yes, saw them 2x this year: Columbus, Ohio and Fort Wayne, In. The crowd in Columbus was just, well, incredible.

The band live is better than anyone else I've ever seen- honestly- better than anybody. Van Halen, Smashing Pumpkins, Pantera, Metallica, Godsmack, White Zombie, Ozzy, Motley Crue, etc. The only band that somewhat even compared live was Alice in Chains back in '92 (Dirt-era). Tool does not miss a beat in concert.

Buy 10,000 Days...... it's just the right mixture of the different sounds and styles that has has made Tool so successful for the last 2 decades.

Yes! If Packers win Tom ships his car to me. If the Cowboys win I'll admit I was wrong. Sounds like a good bet to me.

So Tom we got a deal?

Read this on ESPN.com
Dion Sander's "Farve story"

The NFL Network crew was in the middle of their pre-game show before a Packers-Vikings game last December when Brett Favre walked onto the set. He apologized for the interruption while greeting former Packers assistant Steve Mariucci.
This prompted another crew member, Deion Sanders, to tell his favorite Favre story:
"He's the smartest quarterback I've ever played against in my life," Sanders said. "I remember one year, when I was in Dallas and Green Bay was coming into Texas Stadium. I was excited all week because they put in a backside corner blitz for me and I knew I was going to have an opportunity to sack Brett Favre.
"In the game, it was time (for the blitz)," Sanders said. "I crawled up to the line and started coming. But right before I got there, he released the ball, and as he was releasing the ball - as he was releasing the ball-- he said to me 'I knew you were coming, Prime!' I mean he was saying that and throwing the ball in the same motion. I just turned around and walked back to the huddle laughing my butt off."
