OK the first thing I need to fix is this **** wheel hop I have on this Pony, once I get that fixed then I can concentrate on my next mod which I think will be the 4.10's.

Leo nice buy on the Deletes and UDP, if I found a buy like that I might have jumped also.

The other thing I'm going to do in August is get the GT dyno'd. For some reason I just don't feel the CAI and 93Race tune or the throttle response like the rest of you talk about. Or the SOTP and tire smoking results.

Doug from BAMA will be in town (Houston) 8/17-19 and I'm scheduled to dyno with Doug on the 17th. That should prove interesting. Either validate my concerns or ease my mind.

With your current mods, you should be in the 285hp/305tq range. Not bad for as little money as it took to get there.

Easy fix: lower it.

+1
Still, at 285/305, it should be a tire roaster. Did you reload your 93R tune for the heck of it? Might be worth a try.

Thats kind of where I was thinking I should be. If the dyno tells me something bad then at least I have Doug there to help fine tune the BAMA to my car.

Well with the wheel hop its hard to roast the tires. I may need some TacoBill tire roasting 101 in person course instruction.

You know I have only had wheel hop once or twice. And one time was after drivng on to the main street through a small patch of water. I think the wheel hop was exaggerated by having a small wet patch on the tire.
Most of the the time it is just pure tire spin with the *** end kicking out to the side.

Yes.
Plus, it'll get rid of the 4x4 look.

I am the lackey... So yes I will be doing it. I will have to go to work place to do it as I don't have a compressor. Me doing the work is the only way I can afford to do my mods.

People talk about wheel hop, never had it on mine.

After doing some reading around I am thinking my next mod might be the Pype O/R H-pipe... Some are saying no drone with this and the GTA's...

On the other hand... I would really like to get a nice set of rims for the car. I am really considering getting some deep dish Black bullets. I have narrowed it down to Torque Thrusts or repros from American Muscle. Some are saying the quality is poor on a lot of repros.

That and tint.... So many mods... So little money.

I'm at 283/308 SAE with the K&N and stock exhaust.
You should be more than that Phil.

Don't listen to him, John. Tom's an O/R-H hater.

btw, that girl that got in the way of my pic is deaf/mute. Saw her signing with her friends. Told Chris that she just might be the perfect girl!
(No offense to anyone that is, knows, related to a deaf person )

And John, I'm also on the lookout for some replacement wheels, but it's hard to beat the looks of the polished Bullitts. If only Ford Racing made these Bullitts in a 9.5/10 inch..

I don't know any deaf people, but my cousin is actually a teacher at the School for the Dead and the Blind in St. Augustine. She teaches deaf kids.

Leo,
Any tips on caliper painting... I'm gonna do them tonight after work to minimize downtime.

I should, unlike the last couple of mods, be able to snap some pics of this.

I used the Duplicolor and it was easy. I went the conservative route painting them black but I've gotten some feedback back from several folks that red would be better so I think I'll redo them in red soon. Oh well shame on me for being conservative.

Don’t forget to add the Pony decal and Mustang name decals……………………….Finishes it nicely

Do you have to add the decal while it's wet or after it dries ??

Hi guys, I'm back!

Took the redeye flight, so I pretty well spent.

Brian, good luck with the caliper painting later today. I believe Leo is heading up from SD for the weekend, so he may not log on until later tonight.
