Thanks Bill, , I'm sure you will do just fine and probably better than I did.
You give me too much credit. But, I shall do my best!

The center of my hood actually followed the ridge perfectly.
This is what I'm thinking of mine. I will measure the width of the hood to make sure though.

I then removed enough of the Hood Insualtion Retaining Clips to get at the washer nozzles. The washer nozzles are easy to remove once you figure them out.
When you look at them you will see a tang on either side. Squeeze them together and push the nozzle up through the hood along with the rubber tubing. Then remove the nozzle from the rubber tubing.
Yea I like the way they turned out. Didn't I post a pic of them ? I would recommend washer nozzles not cutout.
I'm assuming you removed the nozzles prior to laying down any of the hood stripes?

How did you mark your 'X', from the top or cut-up from the bottom?

I did see the nozzle pic, so it's 'clean' all around both nozzles?

I was going to order the stripes with the nozzle cut-outs, but I see now that it doesn't matter because either will require dropping the liner and removal of the nozzles. Guess the advantage of 'no cut-outs' is that incase the center gap changes ever so slightly, I won't be held to those cut-outs.

I will later today if I get a chance. It doesn't look the greatest and I was wondering myself what I could do to make it look better. Maybe trim the pieces evenly to be more viewer friendly.
That's what I was thinking. Take a razor and a straight edge to the hood underside and follow the hood edge line and make a parallel cut.

I don't have a blow dryer, you seen the length of my hair and there is no woman around.
You didn't need a heat source when doing the rear bumpers? Do you think some of the issues you had in the rear may have been easier to deal with if you had a blow dryer?
I know heating the vinyl makes it easier to work with, but great caution must be taken NOT to overheat it.

I had to, just had to.
I'll let you know I still haven't wiped mine off the engine yet.
I will do it today when I take pics of the stripe overlap.

I have one of these. Hope I don't jack up any of those plastic retainers while removing them.

I'm like you though, have to find time for the install.
Center of hood is easily identified now though, since I checked for stripe install and recorded the measurements for later

Ha! Please tell me that you turned your radiator cap so it reads right side up. Little things like that bug me, like Tom and his 'lean' issue.

I dropped one in the engine bay and could NOT find it.
I found the best way is to get one "prong" under the clip and the work the other underneath, then pry upwards.

Yep, to put velcro on the liner and hood to hold it up in the center better (where there will now be a hole). I just picked the first pictures I found of pliers. I used something like that. They come out pretty easily. It would be nice to have a whole bunch more to replace them with, though. Then you could just yank them out and not worry about 'em.

No I give you ample credit, I see your attention to detail.

Definitely

How did you mark your 'X', from the top or cut-up from the bottom?
Top, they are very visible after laying the vinyl over them. Downward cutting is much much better than upward and possibly upsetting the vinyl. Just let them dry and fold them over.

I did see the nozzle pic, so it's 'clean' all around both nozzles?
Yes, can't see anything but vinyl all the way around.

Exactly why I orderd without the cut-outs

Yea, may not need straight edge though, there are ridges to follow.

I don't have a blow dryer, you seen the length of my hair and there is no woman around.

Nope

Do you think some of the issues you had in the rear may have been easier to deal with if you had a blow dryer?
Very possible, but I wont buy one just for that, just takes a little more patience.

Yep, the girl I knew at the dealer would have probably given me a bunch, but she left. I have a buddy that works at a Dodge dealership, so if I give him one he can probably match it up to something the exact same size.

I don't know if I want Dodge clips under my hood, though.

Well after 2½ Hours of working on just the front bumper pieces;

I ripped them off, wadded them up and threw them in the trash
I am so pissed off right now I can't see straight.
That is the biggest bunch of absolute BULL**** I have ever seen.
Nothing and I mean NOTHING fit right.
I could not maintain a constant gap, the edges wouldn't reach the top grille and the lower grille. I had a slanted ¼ - ½" variance it was horrible.
I am at a loss as to what I need to do next.
It was going so good, then this.
It would wrinkle it would kink, I used a lot of solution I used No solution. I guess the blowdryer is the way to go.
I will e-mail Rob and see what I can do.

Sorry, Bud.

Maybe it was the 06-06-06 thing...

Seriously, like you told me... patience is key. Without it, the vinyl ends up in the trash. I know... easy for me to say, but I'll be in the same sitch hopefully next weekend.

I really think the success of the front bumper stripes depends on the use of a heat gun (blow dryer). It softens the vinyl and can accelerate the curing of key sections before proceding over steps and curves.

Maybe I'm just talking out of my butt, but this is how I plan to attack it.
