I thought at least Brian would have heard of Geocaching. I'll have my GPS on Wednesday. I found it for $30 cheaper!

Mine's a time issue, not a restricted website issue.

Thanks Mike for the Raptor info. Looks like there's plenty of a switched 12V source all over to tap into.
Not 100% for the vent location yet, but its near the top so far.

Put it this way... when I search for them with my zip code, there are 6530 of them within 100 miles of me! And there are 14,494 within 100 miles of 90210 - the only CA zip I know - and 40,690 in all of CA.
And I just saw this on the homepage:
There are 414,424 active caches worldwide.
In the last 7 days, there have been 286,236 new logs written by 41,903 account holders.

My Father's Day blog...
Chris got me a portable 120 GIG Western Digital HD. That was very cool, especially because I helped pick it out!
************
Started to do some prelim research for the Raptor install. I've read that you can simply pry out on each side of the plastic chrome bezel of the AC vent to pop it out.
Mine was on pretty tight. So what do I do? Pull harder!
But then, I hear a 'crack!' and I was like !!!!
3 of the 4 tabs on the back of the chrome ring cracked off.
I called up Leo and he reminded me to grasp the inside of the vent to pull it out, not just the chrome ring.
I applied some super glue between the duct and the 3 cracked tabs. Tested pretty solid, so I think it's good for now. Worst case down the road, I'll have to order 1 new vent.
Here's what the back of the vent looks after I pulled it out (the right way).
Looking into the duct (in dash), I don't see a simple route for the wires. I really don't want to do any drilling in the duct area, so I'll have to do a little more research on how to route the wires out.
************
After that fiasco, Chris and I took the GT out for a nice Sunday drive. Went up to the cemetary to pay respect.
Being Father's Day, there were alot of people at the cemetary. Cruising up the roads, I could feel just about everyone giving me the stink eye as I was seriously breaking the tranquil silence.
Anyway, me always ready for a photo op...

Went to dinner at my folks, and now at home.
What a day.

I took the car out to wash it yesterday, but decided to skip the car wash and go for a romp in the country. I had a blast tearing up the back roads. Got back on the interstate, reset the mpg indicator and got 24 mpg over the 27 miles of hilly interstate at 80 mph with the cruise locked on. That is about .7 off my usual that was done on flat land in Louisiana. Not bad, considering the 93 race tune. It is too early to tell but it looks like the around town mpg won't be suffering either.
One thing I did note is that my car has a tendency to hesitate when you get off the interstate and then try to accelerate thru a yield sign... The tune makes this worse. There is a TSB out about this and they'll need to check this out when I take the car in for the rear axel groan TSB.
I did notice one other problem when I got out at the store to pick up a couple of things... There seems to be an unusual wear pattern that is showing up on my rear tires. The edges of the tread seem to be more rounded and ragged than just a few days ago and there are several long shallow cuts in the tread as well.
Do you think that this is related to the copious amount of smoke I have seen behind the car? All in all I am a bit worried about this. I think it could lead to rotating the tires earlier and maybe even a ticket!

John, you may as well have them check into that hesitation issue while in for the real axle TSB.
No unusual wear pattern on my rear tires.
Still waiting for your CAI pics.

Now unless your tires are way over-inflated, the copious amounts of smoke will leave a nice even wear pattern of bald or slick. No unusual patterns here. Without seeing it it's hard to say for sure, but the description sounds like shock/strut problem ?? I think. Heck it's too early for me this Monday.

The unusual wear pattern was due to some spirited tire burning…
I thought you guys would have caught that one with the hint about the smoke!
I can't believe how well (and easily) the car will just lite 'em up now!

I get the hesitation occasionally after a long trip. Not enough to take it into the dealer. I also get the rear end groan whenever I am slowly turning when NOT under power, and I'm still not taking it to the dealer. The groan isn't hurting anything... the rear end would have to fall off the car before I take it in.
I caught that, John.
I'll say it again... when you replace tires, do NOT get good ones (like I have) if you want to maintain that level of horseplay. My tires are meant to grab, the stock tires are not. You can still lite 'em up, just not AS easily. I'm talking about with the 93R tune, too. You may not want them to wear that fast at $184/tire, either.

Me too.
Actually, I'll do the same too when it's time to up upgrade my wheels/tires.
Tom, what company did you go with on your black Bullitts?
