Very nice Bill.
What interested me the most was the smoothing.
This may be the difference between a custom tune and an expert far away.
Look at my smoothing 0.
Attachment 26455
See how mine doesn't bounce much at all.
What do you think?
My tuner said the next thing to try was X pipes.

Congratulations Bill, looks like your car has more power than the Shelby GT or the upcoming Bullitt.

Yeah, I have no idea about the smoothing thing. I got the crash couse in dyno 101 only 2 days ago!

I have seen graphs before with the jagged hi/lows, so at a setting of 0, it doesn't look too strange.

As of now, I'm running with the numbers from the SAE 3-5 graphs.

There is nothing strange about your graphs. They usually have variations like that.
The odd graphs are mine. They show only 0.2HP difference between 0 and 5 smoothing. My tuner took time to adjust things so the computer wouldn't "fight itself" too much. He had some trouble with a drop in the spark advance near the peak as the computer tried to change the parameters to what it wanted. He would have liked to advanced it more, but this tune allowed for very smooth building of power. It really seems to be a 91 tune not really a 93. He said it might run on 89, but I tried it and it knocks.

Mine aren't jagged like that, either. Of course, it's carbureted and there is no computer:

That is smoothing at 0. Changing it to 5 makes very little difference.

For those who don't know, the clutch was slipping BAD on all four of those pulls as can be seen in the bottom graph (orange line shows what the tire speed should be). Can't wait to get the new clutch and trans in so I can see what the max HP really is!!

I am not sure why his are so jagged.
There do seem to be more little spikes then most.
If you want to really compare charts his 5 smoothing is probably the most accurate.
Still very good numbers with 4.10s.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that doesn't know what the "smoothing" is all about...

My question is from what I see there is a swing from 288 to 327 on HP. Was there tweaking done on the tune from each of the runs and why so much of a swing ?? Or am I completely missing it ???

Off from the dyno subject...

I forgot to mention that I gave Leo a ride (last Friday) so he can evaluate the 4.10's in person.

He'll be able to comment on it once his Doctor takes off his neck brace.

Back on the dyno subect...

Brian, disregard all charts except for the SAE Corrected at a smoothing of 3 & 5.

Bill... My wife says you are doing your passengers wrong... You should supply neck braces for the ride along! Treat it like a motorcycle helmet.

Here's a web site with something for everybody here (buy me some too!).

http://www.carniture.com/steering%20wheel%20tables.htm

And I heard they were coming out with a Mustang station wagon but didn't know it was already out.

Mustang 4 X 4

The Mustang station wagon what's next? The Mustang 4 X 4, maybe the next Saleen, Roush and Shelby market?

Geesh, I haven't been posting much lately. Warm weather has arrived and Golf season is in full swing.

Awesome vid Bill and nice Dyno Numbers. I will post mine after Doug visits OK next week. (Won't be near the Trooper's or Taco's though, I'm afraid. )

I took off half a day Friday and cut my Shaker shroud. I just need to decide what I want to finish out the edges with. Chrome or black rubber. Probably the black rubber as there is not any chrome under my hood.
Leo, you used weatherstripping right ?? Where did you get it at. That is this weeks project to get the edges trimmed and finally finish off the tubing to the air filter.
