Just got back from the track where I had my most consistent night ever. Unfortunalty no trophy for me since the closest I got to a 9.00 was 8.986. The thirteen runs I had were from 8.847-8.986. DonW shot some vids of me racing so I'll make sure to post them here once they're up.
Daryl-I have a friend selling a brand new CDC ducktail painted in VB for $330 shipped. Not sure if your interested but I wanted to give you first dibs. I'll be posting it in the classifieds tomorrow afternoon.

I hate those bumpers. I'm not too crazy about those particular tail light chrome bezels. I have seen some that look thinner, more rounded and I think they look good. But those are most likely the one you didn’t like.

I don't like those chrome bumper covers, either. I was just saying that if somebody likes a lot of chrome, they may like those.
As far as the bezels go:
All the chrome ones I've seen look like this:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/2005-c...ight-trim.html
Those are the exact ones I ordered. I can't imagine them any thinner. And they really stand out on a black car, quite a bit on a blue or red car, and not so much on a white car.
Now the black bezels are thick - I wouldn't like the chrome ones being this thick:
http://www.mossmustang.com/Shop/View...eIndexID=48642
And I don't really like the black piece that goes horizontally over the back-up light.

You act like I'm the only one that gives you a hard time about that.

Cool! But, I bet you were hoping for 300+ numbers. We were talking about this awhile back, and I bet all of our cars are under 300 RWHP. That's still good, though. I think these cars are more efficient and only have a 15% HP loss through the drivetrain from what I've read. So that's about 331 BHP.
Why did you stop the video early? One of the best parts is the wind down on the dyno.
-----------------
I found 194R bulbs today, so the ones coming in the mail will be spares. I'll replace the rear side markers tomorrow and take some pics.

Looking forward to the marker pics.
You should see some improvement from both of those mods, but your real seat of the pants 'WOW!' factor will come from a custom tune.

I'm happy to report that after my R/T cruise to the Saleen Store, I'm at 747.7 miles!
My quest to the 1K mark will come...
Nice job, Leo! What kind of dyno was used? Dynojet, Mustang Dyno, etc.?

Saleen 'Meet & Greet'
Here's some pics from today's OC Cruise. Start point was at the Saleen Store in Irvine, CA. Cruise (which I didn't do) ends at the Morongo Casino in Temecula.
Brian's and my ride
Lastly, a fan paying homage to the TacoBill ride..

That would be Brian's and my ride. Why isn't his hood up?
Thanks... they definitely fit better than the one's I had from V-Tech.

I think the % loss is different between autos and manuals. Is the 15% loss for our manuals?
Not sure, but there's even less of a difference between the manuals and autos than there used to be. (Again, from what I've read.)
Looking forward to the marker pics.
Well, it's a no go for 2 reasons. First, I put the red bulb in and it blew almost instantly. It was like putting a 24V bulb in a 120V socket. The second bulb in the pack didn't blow, but it would just go out for no reason, then come back on. I tried spreading the connectors, but it still happened. I put the clear bulb back in and it worked fine, so they must just be cheap bulbs or something. Hopefully the ones coming in the mail will work better.
The second reason is because the new reflectors are perfectly flat and the stock red ones have a slight curve to them. The new ones will still pop into place, but you can tell they are fighting the curve of the bumper to be straight. So, I tied the reflector to a rigid piece of pipe with two old Sharpie markers under each end since they won't mar the reflector surface. Then I used wire ties to pull the reflector past the bend of the stock reflector and I've heated it up with a hair dryer and let it cool several times. I put more of a bend in it because I'm sure it will have some spring to it when I remove the wire ties. The blue tape was just used to hold the markers in place until there was pressure on them:
Attachment 19779 So, I'll see if this works. I'll probably leave it in for 24 hours and then do the other one if it works.
Another thing: I might have to get the 164R bulbs from that place online. The 194's are 5W and they kinda look pink through the reflector. The 164's are 25W so they should look more red. But, then again, it could have been the cheap bulbs.

That would be because there isn't anything to see. Factory engine cover there is NOTHING going on in my engine bay. NO CAI, nuthin.
And it's something I gotta change pronto !!
BTW, I eventually opened the hood at the short stay at Pechanga. I'll post pics up in the auto-focus thread shortly

Dynojet.
Here's some vids of the track last night. Thanks to Don for shooting the vids.
