Thanks for the info. I plan on using Mobil 1 for sure. It's all I used on my last car and since the filter was an element only I haven't bought a canister filter in about 10 years. I know nothing about Royal Purple, how does it compare ?

I'll get the Mobil 1 combo this change. The FL820... what's the big deal about them and where do you buy them (couldn't find it on summit), or just stick with the Mobil 1 filter ??

Not sure about the FL820. I found them at LoneStar Performance. It's a deeper canister than the Mobil1 so I guess that gives it a larger filter area, but would require more oil too. I would just stick with the Mobil1 M1-210.

As far as Royal Purple, it is just another top brand of synthetic oil. Many debates over which is the superior oil, Royal Purple or Mobil1. Redline is another good brand but not very widely available.

Hey Brian! I have the FL820 from Ford Racing new in box, but decided to go with the Mobil 1 package. Is the Mobil 1 filter better? Probably not.
Key is to change oil on a regular basis.

According to the dealer the car won't be ready untill sometime next week.
Which is fine as long as I get by Thursday because there's another drag night on friday.

Why hasn't MWAG released the struct tower covers??? They said they'd be release at the end of the month. I think the 27th is close enough. Hopefully by Monday. I want them before the Sunset Show on the 19th.

Bill-Have you recieved your entry information in the mail yet? I haven't.

Thanks Bill. I think I'm going to dedicate myself to finding stuff for you and Tom to add to you mod lists. They're getting way to bare for my taste.

Well this is nuts.

I finally took out the Pony for a little spin down the road in the hood.

My boy was with me , eggin me on to drive it with the tune and the Steeda.

I did a freakin burnout thru 1st and 2nd gear. I don`t believe it.
Didn`t really mean to , but I goosed it and it just came freakin alive.

What a difference!

He was clueless. I went through three gears with the *** end acting crazy. I loved it and he didn't know what was happening.

Speakin' of tunes... I don't really like the 93T at all. I'm never below 3K enough and around town from light to light, who needs THAT much power? One more day and I'll put in the 93P... I'm sure I'll love that - and then I'll get ready for the 93R.

Mike - You'll need that Extra set of 4 stock GT tires and wheels

BEFORE

AFTER

And just for FYI the screw is 4mm x .70 with a T20 Head

Now I just need to find a place to buy just ONE of these
You guys think Lowe's would have one in their hardware assortment??

Filter Color Poll Results so Far
Blue = 5
Red = 0
Grey = 0
Just need Susan & Mike to chime in (if they want) I think I am sold on blue

I am going to order the filter oil/cleaning kit from Summit Racing soon, so is there anything else I HAVE to have while I am ordering? (within reason guys )
(Under $10 of merchandise, I will pay more in shipping)

I can almost gurantee it will be a unanimous vote for blue. I'd love to help you spend your money but I can't think of anything else to order from summit. Maybe some FRPP 3:73 or 4:10 gears for later on down the road. They have the best prices for gears that I've seen online.
