Will the 500 work since my car is wired for the 1000? I'm guessing it's just the rear subs that won't work right?

Either way....I'll shoot you a pm Gary. Ed thanks for offering but I think I'll borrow Garys since he's closer.

The 500 will work. To the best of my knowledge. There's one harness that won't plug in is all.

Leo, I'm not positive but I think the head unit has to be programmed to the vehicle, I don't think you can just hook it up and go. I believe the dealer has to code it to your car with their computer but I could be wrong.

If that's true its freakin' nuts.

I'll drive up to the Ford dealer and throw that **** Shaker 500 through their window. I mean that's retarded. It's not even GPS or anything.

The only thing I could think of would be for satellite, but I never used it, and I doubt Leo is with his aftermarket stuff.

I'll do what you want Leo.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I would check it out before doing the work, I could swear I heard that a while back.

I'm not doubting you Robbie, nor am I trying to be rude to you, I just think its stupid for Ford to have made these that way.

Thanks for the heads up.

I think that only applies when swapping for a factory nav unit. When I sold my stock HU a while back the guy never contacted me complaining that it didn't work. So I'm guessing it should work.

Either way I have to take out the Pioneer HU so it's not like I'm doing any extra work. Worst case scenario if the 500 doesn't work I'm just out whatever it costs Gary to ship. At the very least I won't have to drive around with a big hole in my center console while the Pioneer is being repaired.

Thanks again Gary and Ed.

Just a week , nice weather roll down the window and listen to the pipes is what I`d do , get an appreciation for whats around you know. Do they have wreckers there you could get a back up cheap
I know that some auto places égrave yards after a cars been totaled sell off stuff , just a thought .

Hi guys, just checking in.

Been a little preoccupied with the Union strike against big B. Mustangs have taken a back seat until we get this labor dispute resolved.

Sorry I don't have my 1000 for you Leo, it'd be yours if I had it.

Bill, hope the B thing gets worked out. Can understand this stuff taking a back burner.

I've been out all week in Big Sur... Took about 1500 pics, give or take. Here are a couple....

Let me tell you... the last night and the "fashion show" that we and everyone from Big Sur and the surrounding area went to, was wild beyond belief. It's like a lot at a dead show X100 freakyer after too many adult beverages I'll have to tell the tale.

Wow looks like a fun trip! I remember those fields by the beach and seeing these big "cow pies" Looks like it was chilly up there. Hopefully you have video of the show!
