Went to this Military museum in El Monte. I've driven by this place 1000 times today I decided to check it out, here are a few pictures...
Viewed some yellowtail at the Toyota dealer.

Got a ton of work done on Bertha this weekend.
Fixed the horrible miss that it had, 6&7 wires were crossed and 1&3 plugs where not tight (it'll be awhile before they come out again).
Fixed the Drivers door window so that it's a lot easier cranking the window up
Fixed the Throttle pedal, it had come loose
Fixed an exhaust hanger that broke
Installed the tailgate and adjusted it so that it works without any issues.
Reinstalled the Drivers mirror...
Still need to get a new carb... again the new reman carb that had perhaps 10miles on it is leaking in the same spot again if the truck idles for about 3-5 minutes. Luckily O'Reilly is being cooperative and letting me do a straight swap without any hassles.
Also going to muffler shop to shore up the exhaust leaks
Need to put on a master cylinder cap gasket, I think it's the source of the brake fluid leak.
Found two new belts under the seat, have no idea if they fit and what belt they're supposed to be.
With a bit of luck she's coming home Tuesday. Still a real ***** to turn to the left when parking or going real slow, probably steering box
Although slightly frustrating, after fixing the crossed wires it runs pretty good, perhaps with some adjustments to the carb, it idles high, it'll be road worthy... Other than that I'm ready to take her down to the next Mustang Cafe

1. Take the mag out of the box.
2. Wipe down the oil filter suface.
3. Snap the mag on the filter.
Done!
Jury still out.
Dropped the car off Saturday morning, no word on it yet.
Looking for a new DD?
Good deal!
I'm sure you'll have Bertha road ready by the next Cafe!

Greg's new shop is 10x larger than his previous location. It's only a block away from the old place, still in Downey. A new parts dept managed by Ed Melgar also just opened up in the RET building.
New address is:
Racers Edge Tuning
8107 Phlox Street
Downey, CA 90241
He told me that RET will be hosting a Dyno Day on Saturday, April 10 from 9am til whenever.
$40 for 3 pulls
$45 with A/F
Greg is now also tuning GM cars. A GTO was pulling up as I was leaving.
I'll post this info on the general 05-09 thread too.
I may attend and go for the $40/3 just to see how it's running since the motor is broken in, electric H2O pump, and breathers.

Greg's shop looks great! He just needs a sign out front.
On the DD front, you know I did a MPG test on the Highlander and on a full tank of go go juice I was getting 17.6 MPG. So this week and next week giving the H-Lander some love. Hopefully these improvements will boost gas mileage to 20 MPG. If all fails I may go the Hybrid route that gets 51 MPG! I saw a Telsa car at Supercar but they want 100K+ for that.

Chris spent the whole day there with a couple girls. So we had some pie ala mode at the Carnation shop while waiting for him.
I'm going to add Telephone to my iTunes library! GaGa is a bit out there, but some of her songs are pretty good.

I thinking of attending this event to eat and chat with other gear heads. Any other SoCal gear heads interested? The Kogi & Shrimp truck will be there. Five Axis is just down the street from Chip Foose's shop along with other shops used in Overhauling. It's a gear head mecca! It's not just a Scion or Ricer meet their suppose to mix it up this year.

It was supposed to go to an A/C specialist yesterday afternoon. Whether that happened or not, I dunno.
My car is basically in que, when they get to it, they get to it. Kinda sucks, but if they can get it fixed without a hit to the wallet, I'll be happy.

If I'm in HB that day, I may stop by with the Highlander and blend in.
