Well, I'll tell you Bill....as much crap as you get (and I've given) about being a garage queen, your car still looks stellar.

Mine is a lot like the driver....you can tell that it used to be something, but is beginning to show signs of wear.....D'ho!

I drove it the past 2 days! Luis even had a Tacomobile sighting yesterday.

No-go today though, driving into a shady part of town after work for a haicut... besides, it's today.

Impressive! Except for the rain part... Eventually, that car will see rain... LOL! My car is already dirty, so getting a little more dirty at this point doesn't bother me... I have been waiting for a weekend where I can actually wash and polish the car!

Yeah, I have two collector guitars that I play too.....they were limited edition signature models.
Most of them went into guitar safes to be sold at huge profits sometime in the future.
I always figured that I would to "Use" my gear and enjoy it.....which I have done with both my hot rod and my guitars.

The down side is.....everything looks like sh*t now.

They informed me that Apple screwed everyone (pre-2007 aftermarket headunits) by switching the charging hardware from 12V to 5V. From what the tech said, it affects Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion, Eclipse, Pioneer, etc.

So, my choices are to get a new reciever or charging converter or find an older 3rd gen Nano.

Luckily, Chris still has his old 3G Nano, so I'm taking it for Mustang duties.
I'm in the same boat. I'm using my daughters 3G Nano after I got her the iTouch for Christmas. I was pissed when I found out I couldn't charge my 3GS in the car. Pissed!

Can't you just buy a new cable?

No more cyclops! Glad you figured that out

Yup, they missed the mark on the 2011 CS.

Not the cable's fault, it's the hardware in the iPod.

I could get one of those voltage adapters, but ehh.. I'd rather leave the iPod permanently inside the car and only take it out to update the playlists.

Besides, the old 3rd gen Nano will play just as good as my 3GS.

I'd have a sore neck if I looked around everytime I heard a honk.

Less is more sometimes and I think you'll be happier with certain stock suspension pieces in the end. Just because its part of a company product line, doesn't mean its necessary.
If it was a CK tribute, I'd be on my fifth power adder.... and then deciding about changing everything mid-way. The only thing I regret putting on the car is the Hurst shifter, everything else has been pretty static I'd say

I just wanted to strengthen the suspension, when the motor gets forged I don't want the body to twist more than it has too. the PHB is not really needed at all since the out-of-alignment rear is too small to notice.

It's when they **** canned the firewire chip in the iPods/iPhones. Now that everything is USB it' uses the lower voltage.

2011, power is great, body sucks, Ford is dumb for putting in the same pistons and rods but forging the crank. If they'd put in Forged Pistons and Rods it'd be a different story. You think 3V **** is expensive wait 'til the gouging starts for the 5.0 because it says 5.0

exactly. The Hurst was a big POS. The MGW on the other hand is a great shifter. Should have spent that money upfront.... even if I did recoup 90% of the cost of the Hurst when I sold it.
