From another site....

IMHO - the stock cams are more than adequate for your power level and set-up. I'm about to break 1000 rwhp with the stock cams and then I'm going to dyno with some custom cams after and find out for myself EXACTLY how much gains you get from cams with a big boost application. I don't think it's going to be as earth shattering as people think they are...lol

That's plenty I think.
Whatever HP you'll be cranking out, I'm sure its more than enough for the street.

Good luck with the build. Post some progress pics up if you can.

Do they have a carb exemption order number? Last time I checked only JBA shorties were carb legal! but I guess it dosent matter as your blower will never have a carb EO number. You must have a hook-up with a smog guy.

Where is the stamp for the JBA's?
Can you see it when the headers are installed?
These look exactly like JBA's so I figger who will know?
I'll just tell them to feel free to climb under the car and read the tag....

I'm hoping Techco comes back online at somepoint.....

If not, then it doesnt really matter what I put on my car as it's not gonna pass anyway.

Its on a welded tag on the header that you can see when installed.

Well the reason I always harp about CARB EO # numbers is checkpoints have been going up that look like sobriety check points but in reality are "ROADSIDE EMISSIONS & REMOTE SMOG TEST CHECKPOINTS"

http://www.smogtips.com/remote_sensing.cfm

I have seen three, driven by two and one I was stopped and checked last month. All have been in the riverside/ san bernardino area. They check for cats, pop your hood and look for aftermarket parts and if they do find them they want CARB EO# numbers. Then they put your car on what looks like a mobile dyno and run a test.

I had a riverside sheriff tell me my shaker hood was a illegal modification because it didnt have a EO# number. I had to explain to him that my car was made that way. Luckily for me I had my car show bag in the trunk with my laminated window sticker.

I asked my neighbor who's a LA county sheriff about checking for aftermarket parts and he told me they been using it to crack down on the import side but they leave the muscle car crowd alone unless they are doing something stupid.

The way I see it the state/counties/cities are loosing money and see this as a possible revenue stream. I have yet to see any of these check points in LA or OC counties but I think its just a matter of time.

Well doesnt that just suck?

It was NEVER my intention to install non carb parts....but as you know, Techco is MIA and I have no sticker for my blower. I specifically asked if it was carb legal and they said YES.

The Headers are my bad because I didn't ask...I just assumed since they look like JBA's....

'Sup biotches

back from the dead somewhat, the yearly cold/flu/B.S.

My Whipple has a CARB EO#

The tune on the other hand

The only reason to do anything for the heads is to upgrade the springs and valves and perhaps the VCT lock-out. The valves are the weak-spot at hight PSI and will start to cause problems. The heads and cams are OK and you don't *really* need to go to that next level at the HP anyone of us are running at.
