Yeah, while we still HAVE a republic...I'm afraid those days may be nearing a close.

Different states have different laws....in California you can limo tint everything EXCEPT the drivers and passengers windows and the windshield.
Also, plastic covers over the lights or license plates are illegal even if they are clear.

Kalifornia is stupid in alot of regards, especially when it comes to the automobile. I'm surprised it hasn't been outright banned yet

So can you have some tint on the windows. Like here you can limo tint that back window and rear side windows but you're only allowed a certain amount on the driver and passenger window.

And we also cannot have any covers on the headlights, taillights, or especially license plates, even if they are clear. License plate frames are also not allowed to cover the state name at the top of the plate at all.

California is leading the crusade for socialism. It's also losing the most tax revenue due to businesses moving out of state because of skyrocketing taxes....so they continue to raise taxes even higher and give the money to corrupt entities....and they wonder why business leave.

Has anybody been following the latest Acorn saga?

Yup. They are announcing here in Texas that our Attorney General is looking into ACORN here. Which means he's going after them. Everytime our AG has gone after someone before he gets them somehow, someway. They could probably revoke all their state charters to even operate if they can find anything at all out of the norm. A corporation or entity had to follow laws just like a person, or the individual states can shut them down if need be.

So, you know about all the videos taken at multiple ACORN offices showing them participating in illegal activities...?

30+ people are already being prosecuted...and many more to come.
They were slaighted to get trillions of dollars in stimulus money.....finally congress put the brakes on while they sort this out.
They've gotten Millions already....Your tax dollars at work.

Besides, it's just a fix it ticket.

Back when tint wasn't so common I used to get pulled over all the time.

A cop told me:
"Just pull the tint off and we'll sign it off".

I said:
"OR...pay the 70.00 fine...."

He says:
"Huh"?

I said:
"Right here on the back of the ticket....OR pay a 70.00 fine...."

He replies:
"But then you could get ticketed again...."

So I says to him...:
"I get pulled over about twice a year and I pay the 70.00 fine.....so, I figger for 140.00 a year, I buy a license to have tinted windows...."

So he wrote me a ticket for no front license plate....

Now I have a license plate with suction cups and just stick it on when they ask me for it.....
you could get one of those motorized flip up ones...I'd love to buy one of those, get popped, and flip the switch, and be like...are you sure there's not one?

**** straight! I can't stand freeloaders, and people who choose not to work, and still expect some of the benefits. I work hard, therefore I deserve what I get. I can't stand paying taxes that go towards people that could care less about earning an honest days pay, getting out and working for a living, and being a responsible citizen.

Here is everything you'll ever need to know about cars.
I'll wait while you get a pencil.

Ford = The Sh*t.
Chevy = Sh*t

politics aside....

In CA, the drivers side, pass. side and front windshield can only have factory tint. So no tint basically is allowed on the front three windows. I think we can all agree the factory tint is worthless. The law in CA is because the tint holds the windows together in an emergency. The window will shatter but still be in place. It is more of a safey issue than CA being stupid.

Not that I entirely buy it hook-line-n-sinker, but I've seen it so I slightly understand. Not happy with it, but I understand it.

Just like our smog laws, they're the most restrictive of any state and if you've ever been to some parts of Central CA, Riverside, San Berdo....etc, you'd understand too. However, like anything else give politicians an inch and they'll take a mile and so it goes for CA smog, taxes...etc.

Do you get the hint man?

You've got to be the first guy in history to get his taillights tinted before his windows.

I try to be unique.
