Shouldn't the trait of a DD be reliability? All this engine swapping and hot rodding will be hardly that.

Though messing with a 429 sounds uber cool, not sure if I'd want a hopped up DD.

The CS clearance has got to be way more than the CDC Classic.

Dance? Piano? C'mon Koji, ditch those pansy classes and sign them up in Martial Arts. Our Asian kids are expected to know some kind of fighting skills, and if they don't, they'll get picked on to no end.

Chris.. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu $55/mo, Muay Thai $75/mo, Judo.. free!

So did you try them?
The results would probably be on the low side just like your HP/TQ numbers. (You started it)

I'm sure the CDC is lower but not by much.

I'll take a picture of the spray can tonight. I know it was a Krylon product actually used for metal outside patio furniture.

Koji here's a view...

I use a wire brush attachment on an air tool to clean the rust off. Then I used an acetone damp towel to wipe off any dust and grease. The hardest part was in the masking where the paint shouldn't go. Once that done your on EZ street!

Hey, no fair! Chris is only 13. It would be interesting to see what happens if we turn back your son's clock by 7 years versus Chris now in a free-for-all UFC type bout.

All I can say is your son will have his work cut out for him.

Maybe, but not for me. A DD is a car that I can beat up and put less mileage on my car. A F250 could already have a big block in it with a 390 so it's not that far of a stretch. You can build a VERY solid 429 and put out 400-500 HP(flywheel) all with a single holley and be very reliable. Had one as a DD before and it will take much more punishment than our 4.6. Coupled with a C6 and it would be indescructable. They are also much more friendly to Hot-rodding than our car. Headers, LTs of course, Intake, Carb, Cam and if I'm crazy enough new SCJ heads and it will be MORE than enough for me..... all of this and then be able to drive my car and put mileage on it that I am already doing then when I'm done with the 429 park the stang and drive that.

As you can see I've worked this scenario out quite a bit. Although everything above you see is what I did to my 429 in my Torino, except the headers, and I drove that from La Habra to Compton daily for 12 years. The only thing I replaced frequently was rear tires

I think they're very close. Have to remember I'm lower than all of you with the FRPP springs. As an example Leo can *just* get is car over that step in his garage and I absolutely cannot.
