Hey SoCal friends....thought I'd share this with the crew.

I was on stage with Metallica at the Vancouver show. Pretty sweet eh?
I was pulled up to play the cymbal into to Seek & Destroy. You can see Lars giving me a hard time there. Highlight of my tour experience for sure.

OK...
My ordeal....
Well it wasn't much of an ordeal as a long-F'n day.
Got the gauges done before Lunch. Waited for the Ford guys to deliver the IAT sensor and reflash the car to stock. After an hour plus waiting for the guys to show up they decided to go get the IAT sensor... Still waiting for the Ford mech. to come over (ST is about 1/2 mile from the Ford dealer) and reflash the ECU (The X3 that I now have will not upload to a X2 tune, it had to be stock to start tuning it.)..... I wait and wait, well Jon and I waited and waited.
So 3-1/2 hours later we met the Ford guy out close to the Dealer and I was reflashed to stock and then to a basic X3 tune.
To the Tunes.
1st pull on basic X3 tune 442
2nd pull 451. Car pinged a little but not because of the A/F ratio. I put in Cheap-*** ARCO fuel and that was a big no-no for my car
3rd Pull ???? I don;t know. Didn't ask he didn't tell me.
4th Pull 470/425 No pinging, no problems
5th Pull
475 and change
Driving it (to SD). Noticable change in the throttle response. Mileage for the 91+ mile drive at 80+mph was about 21+. Car kicks out the rear going from 1st to 2nd much, much easier. Overall very happy to say the least.

Nice numbers Brian can't wait to see your track results at Barona. Is this a showdown match with Leo?

Well if I get this new job I'm getting a super shaker
Look at these install pics on another PJ
I don't know if I like how high the shaker sits, but I like it! Hopefully by this time next year this will be in my PJ!
Have a great weekend guys!!

I've seen Green Day a bunch of times and I love when they bring up kids to play. Every now and then Lars will bring someone up to play the cymbals intro to Seek & Destroy.

Well Ray let's see if I can get things jump started.
Just got back from Barona/SD. Great time as always at the track. Could have run more but we got in at the wrong time by about 20 mins I think so the first runs were later in the afternoon. They shut the track down early with eliminations still waiting to run, the Ambulance driver had to go pick up her kid Apparently no one thought about a back up. We only got three runs in. Shiat happens
So Luis... yes, Leo won. Would say he handed me my *** but he did win. No excuses.
<excuses> The driver could use some work and I think my tire/gear combo is killing me and an ice box would make a world of difference</excuses>
That being said we both made our best passes ever today. I still haven't broken the 8.0 barrier and Leo got his number (I'll let him fill the details.) Also got my best R/T, 60ft and MPH. So even if it was a short day it was a kick in the butt. Got to buy more tires and I'm ready to go (My DRs where used when I bought them and they were already starting to go).
So without further ado.. Here is a couple of pics of the day.
what it looks like when you try to burnout with Traction Control on, besides the doofus part
Leo is definitely the burn-out king.
Just looks cool.
I'm in here somewhere
My .052 light
My best run to date.
R/T .052
60ft 1.81
ET 8.13
mph 90.8
Leo's best (missed 2nd->3rd got completely out of it)

Results from Barona......
But first.......After all the BS Luis talked on Bill's HP thread he didn't even show up to Barona today.:gay:
Brian, and a few of the S197/ST guys met down at Barona. It was a good time even though we only got about 4 runs.
First run by myself 7.9
Second run Vs Brian 7.6 to Brian's 8.1 (So we both had our best run's at the same time New Best ET's)
Third run Vs Brian 7.7
Fourth run Vs Brian 7.8
BTW-I won all three times. Centri rules again.
One thing I will admit though is Brian had me at the tree everytime. Heck I think for the most part he even had me up untill the 60ft.
EDIT: New best ET was achieved without any tweaks to my tune from Adam. Plus he wasn't there anyways. So I'm hoping with the few tweaks I'll be able to either run 7.6 more consistently or maybe even get a 7.5. Got to ride in a saleen s/c car with auto tranny and a torque coverter. There were no wierd quirks noticeable while driving around normally. So I think torque converter just moved up to #1 on my mod list.
