New mod Idea thanks to this guy who posted pics of his car on the CDC page. Check it out. Painting the shroud factory color really makes the engine bay pop and makes the shroud not look so cheap. I'm diggin that cobra jet emblem to.

Hmmmm.... I might have to stop by a couple of body shops for a qoute.

Sometimes there has to be a reason to put something on the car. If you had a '68 428 Cobra Jet engine under the hood, then that would be a good reason.

You'll probably get tired of people asking you at car shows, "Why'd you put a Cobra Jet emblem on there?". Basically, it would be like putting a "Supercharged" emblem on there without a supercharger.

It really should say 281, 4.6, V8, or something like that.

Hey, you could put one of these on there to match your fender emblems:

You got me. Not saying I'm going to do it just saying it looks good. I really like how he painted the shroud though.

Yes, the shroud looks wonderful! But, why would you bother since it's black already? Also, don't think that would look good in white.

Your right about the white/black shrouds. Well maybe I'll get it painted that blue color then just theme the rest of the engine bay that way. I.E. paint the radiator cover blue, the fuse box cover get replace all my hoses and get the blue clamps for them and maybe even paint my calipers blue. Just a thought. Doesn't have to be your cars color.

You should have somebody good at PaintShop make something up for you to see how it would look. Take a good engine shot and have them change the color of whatever you want.

D A M N I really like the Shaker shroud painted VB. Hmm ??
Susan I am here, did you miss me?
IF you are going for the blackout look on your car LEO, I would leave definitely use the overlays on the rear lights.
Imagine TOM removing a sticker that was peeling

Not really going for a black out look persay. It's just after I took this pic and stared at it for awhile it seemed that the side marker and turn signal stood out like a sore thumb. So I just wanted them to be less noticeable.

Here's the pic. Don't you agree?

Once I get the car cleaned up tomorrow I'll go snap another pic like this. one for comparison. She really needs a chin spoiler and some new wheels.

Man, that's dirty...

The amber sticks out, not the red. Here's a before and after:

The orange had to go, but the red looks normal.

What's the best improvement? clear corners, lowering, or rims, or all of the above?

I liked them a lot... until I stored Mike's rims on my car for a week. Ever see my car with the 20's, Leo?

Pimp my ride! That's why I went with the same style, but 18's instead of 20's.

I'll sell you mine then so you can have a spare set. I've been trying to sell these for the past 4 months. Everyone wants the bullits or fanblades myself included.

Just came back from the Mustang Cafe (my monthly club drive-in), but I didn't take my Stang there. It's 90% show ready and I didn't want to get it dirty. (Here comes the comments.... )

Interesting e-mail I recieved from my club tonight...

There will be a LOT to see and do (at the QM show), including Ford Motor Company unveiling an ALL NEW STYLE MUSTANG not yet displayed to the public! I drove this vehicle today, and my call is that it will be a HUGE hit with the buying public. Be the first to see it, this Sunday 9/24.

Whatcha think about this one? Oh, you can bet I'll be taking pics of this one.
