Just for giggles I thought I'd post a set of progression pics of my car so far (yeah I'm bored and reorganized my photobucket account)

At TacoBill's garage putting Leo's springs on. No mods except maybe the exhaust and shifter.

I don't think I had done anything more Just a better pic

Lowered with FRPP springs at that's it

Spoilers and Tint

Stripes and Caliper paint

You've done very tasteful mods Brian. One of my favorite Vista Blue's out there

Nice timeline pics Brian. Your car has transformed nicely!

I think I told you guys before that Vista Blue was my color choice up until a week before ordering my car. Chris at the last minute changed his vision to Torch Red. The rest is history.

Here's my little montage..

Even shot a little vid for you.

One thing I definetely noticed, the exhaust is quieter, raspiness gone, trumpeting all but gone (this was amazing), and the decel burbling has quieted down significantly. All this just from the JBA shorties?
Leo, you have to re-install the O/R-H!
Good for you. Enjoy it and rack up those 500miles asap.

Hey did you forget I had the shorties with O/R H before you. Yeah it sounds better after the headers but I've gotten used to the stock H now and I'm happy with it. The quietness when cruising on the highway is what sold me. Don't see myself going back to the O/R H unless the stang becomes a weekend car.

Nope I would've just bought the bling version he sells.

Autoblog and Jalopnik are blowing up with SEMA coverage. Bill, Luis we could've been there.

Bill It looks great. I didn't know you had an engine cover before the shaker, thought you went straight to cutting a hole in your hood.

Leo, Bill, Luis: Thanks I appreciate it. Have to admit there are still some minor tweaks I'd like to do but largely I'm done appearance wise.

+1, rack up them miles Bill. We want to see what it does on the dyno and in heaven, I mean under boost.

Lets just hope Tom1 doesn't see this post. All the rants-n-rave about the O/R H.... his head will `asplod

Thumpers is a beautiful piece... but at 200 bucks more wasn't worth it to me. But man is it nice. He makes them now for Whipple.

Leo, so guessing the O/R-H will be up on the market soon?
I forgot you had that combo running. For me, I think it's perfect now!
SEMA.. yeah, looks like we'll make a run at it next year. Good news is that we'll be grandfathered and be automatically be on the invite list (or at least I hope so).

Is that tensioner applicable to me and Leo's centri? Or is it only for the massive TQ of the TS's?

Brian, yup, had the engine cover from MWAG for a couple months. That K&N CAI I had sure looks feminine like a woman's arm.
I am a little nervous when I do take it in for the dyno tune. I know everything is/should be together right, but I still have that aprehension that something may go wrong when brought up at WOT in 4th gear. That blown motor sound/feeling still haunts me in the back of my mind.
I think I need some therapy.

Thanks Fly! I admire Jed's engine bay equally as well.

I think I'll probably keep around a bit longer just in case I get the urge for loudness again.

The tensioner works for us too but from my understanding the centri's don't/haven't caused any problems with the stock tensioner. So unless your looking to enhance the look of the engine bay it's really not needed for centri setups.

I feel like replacing the 2 stock caps left in my engine bay, washer fluid and brake reservior.

Anything out there besides the Scott Drake pieces that look good?

Any of you guys wanting to do the same?

Yeah now that I only have 1 MGW cap I've been thinking of swapping to the Scott Drake pieces. I just can't bring myself to spend $200+ on f'ing caps. Plus I'm not 100% sold on how they look. No offense Jed, Steve.

I don't think anyone else offers a complete set for our cars.

I don't understand the physics of why the centris would be less likely to need one, which seems to pretty much be the case.

Can you even see it on a Centri set up. ??

I start to want to, then I convince myself to leave it stock. Something about the stock caps appeal to me. Not that they're sexy by any means
Then I can't justify spending 200+ bucks for caps. So maybe that's it.

Yes. Even with the ducting for my intercooler I'll have a clear view of it.

I was looking at the scott drake caps and noticed they offer them with labels like "oil", "washer fluid" etc. I thought you could only get them with a shelby or pony emblem. With that said I may reconsider my stance against them.

So you want the Drake set, but don't want to spend the 200 clams?

I just want the 2 pieces, but not sure how they'll blend in. I was hoping MGW would come out with the other cap pieces, but it looks like they've mellowed down a bit in introducing new stuff, which is a shame because they put out top Q stuff.

Only when you look down into the front of the bay. Kinda like painting the crank pulley, some see it, some won't.

Nope mixing the Scott drake and MGW would look bad IMO. It's one or the other in my mind. Of course if MGW made the rest of the caps I'd get them.

Looks good, but I'd get the Fluidyne first.

Also, will need to re-tap the oil return line from the Vortech and see how much lower the pan sits compared to stock to see if you can afford the decreased ground clearance.

There is no ground clearance loss. One of them even offers additional ground clearance. The only one that doesn't mention clearance is the road race version.

Eliminator Pan Features:
• Fully fabricated from aluminum for light weight
• One-piece billet rail prevents annoying leaks after repeated R&R
• Internal baffling keeps oil contained in pickup area during hard acceleration and braking
• Kicked-out sump moves oil level away from rotating assembly, increases capacity to 7 quarts and provides additional ground clearance
• Includes magnetic drain plug and dipstick provision
• 1/2" NPT fitting for drain back
Street Strip Steel Pan Features:
• Baffle assembly allows oil to flow "one way" into the pick up area and keeps it there
• T style sump to increase oil capacity without losing ground clearance
• 6-1/4 Deep, 12-3/4" wide by 9-1/4" Long sump gives a 7 quart system capacity
• Kicked-out sump moves oil level away from rotating assembly, increases capacity to 7 quarts and provides additional ground clearance
• Includes magnetic drain plug and dipstick provision
Road Race Oil Pan Features:
• 7 Quart capacity
• Road race specific trap-door baffle system
• Bolt in Windage tray
• 1/2" NPT drain back accessory bung
• Maintains use of factory dipstick and gives true oil reading unlike competitor oil pans
• Fits all 2,3 and 4 valve modular engines with no mods in all mustang chassis including GT500 with factory pickup tubes
• Great for serious Road Race applications, Track Days or Competitive drag race vehicles
