Close enough, or at least that's what I think.

I swear, I'm going to crack a cheap bottle of champagne on the nose of that car once it's all complete.

Pics, and more pics. Is this the Shelby boot or a different Mfg ??

I got a couple days ago an Oil/Air Separator with the lines and everything. Literally All I have to do it take the old off and install the new. It already has the OEM PVC fittings installed. I do have to figure out where to mount it. Still no track time on schedule for me . Not yet that is.
Qualcomm. It's the boot that "Jim10" (Dude with the Dr. Doom avatar) or whatever makes. Hurry up the 15 of August is just around the corner.

Congrats Bill. More than likely won't happen but I'll be hoping the Stang is ready for Sunday.

Just finished installing the boot. I have to say I'm very pleased. Only thing that bothers me is that the leather handle and boot don't match. Then again if I'd kept my original ebrake or bought the MGW handle I'd be alright.

With out further a do here's the pics of the install and the final product. Thoughts?

Boot not as shiney as it looks in the pics.

Thanks. Me either.

You're right, leathers mismatch. It looks good, but I think would look better if you went back to the stock e-brake. Only because it's you Leo, I'll switch with you.

Nice mod. That would make for great protection. Not that any of us bring liquids into the car.

I'd have to see it in person. Not liking the transition from the boot to the handle has, maybe it's the pics.

Coolest thing happened to me today and with luck I'll be able to 'splain it well enough.

here we go. On the route home I occasionally see this C2 Sting Ray, alot like this one with different wheels

This thing is beautiful. I always stare at it whenever I see it. I love this car.

Anyway, on the way home I see it leaving the residential street turning onto the street I'm on as I drive by. We get to a light and we're both turning left onto the street where I live. As the sting ray gets through the intersection I slow down to hear and gawk at it. It catches up to me at the next signal and we're both the first cars at the light. I look over and this pretty good looking MILF driving it looks at me and says "I Love your car!" and give me the thumbs up and revs the engine. It surprised me 'cause here is someone in one of the most classic of all classic cars telling me my car is cool ! I, of course yelled back that I love the sting ray as well... Wonder if she's single ???

Anyway, maybe it ain't much but it made my day !

Just got back from a rod & muscle car show at the local Ruby's. All pre-74. Took pictures for the first time in forever and I'll post a few and more in the auto-focus in a little bit.

Track Results!!!!!

Went to the track last night.... First a story..Raced a stock Z06 last night and enjoyed throughly beating it with a 8.4 to his 8.9. He didn't have drag radials but still I enjoyed it. Then I raced another Z06. This one had drag radials though. He ran a 7.9 to my 8.4. Not bad considering it's cost more than double the price of the stang. I'm sure all you FI guys would've either kept up or handed it, it's ***.

So on to the results....

NEW BEST TIME

8.3 = 12.95 in the 1/4 mile

Thanks. I'll post post a pic of the timeslip later.

BTW-Not sure if it made the difference or not but I had the 17 wheels and pirelli's up front. I wonder if the headers will show up on the timeslip once I get those installed.

were you running that time consistently? on our racecar it was running a time within .2 in the trap everytime, you could see the difference when we'd change things. The bad thing about street cars is that they differ from visit to visit, unless you are really specific on what you do with the car, and if it launches the same every time

Got the 8.3 the 3rd or 4th run of the night. The rest of the time i was running 8.4's. If there was bracket racing last night I'd of done real well.

The car's pretty consistent for a few reasons.
1) Auto tranny
2) I launch at idle everytime
3) I shallow stage everytime

Only variables outside of my control are track and weather conditions.
