that doesnt seem tooo far off, the 80mph is really hurting the mileage, for some reason, they all still like riding in the 55-60 mph zone. It's pretty bad when you can slap on a supercharger and get better mileage (25-30)

Maybe it's because the tune from the factory is conservative (rich). Like you said, I get better average MPG now (around 23) than I did from the factory (around 21).

Cruising down the highway at 60-65 MPH, I average just under 30 MPG.

Wider tires eat into your gas mileage also.
Are you running a 91 tune on your car?
If not, 87 octane should give you better gas mileage.

I'm not running a 91 tune yet. I will be when I purchase a cold air intake and tuner in the coming months. The previous owner was running 91 and I like staying consistent when it comes to gas grades. I do have 285s and 255s, so that may be driving down the mileage. I guess an intake/tune/exhaust is just an outlet for better MPGs.

karman is right... with a stock tune, running 91 octane is a waste. I would go back to 87 until you get the new tune, since that's what the stock tune is designed for. If it makes you feel better, fill up with 87 a few times when you are just over 1/2 a tank. Then you'll ease the octane level back down to 87.

Pics of the clear corners, canton tanks, and the final placement of the GT emblem. Sorry for the crappy pic quality.

Thanks to all. I'll try and get some daylight shots of the clear corners today and post. Jed, Luis I see some clear corners in your future once you see them in person.

Tempting... but I'm trying to go for an oem look... very tempting...
When am I seeing them in person

Dan - just drove 175 miles with the stang today I need a dd The drive there I averaged 22.7 mpg. Had traffic in the beginning of the trip. Not including the moment with traffic, I was averaging between 70-75 mph with some 80mph spurts. On the way back I averaged 25.1 mpg driving mostly around 70-80. I only ran into traffic for a quick second before my exit Hope this helps I'm with Tom and others. It's pretty much a waste to use 91 since you don't have a 91 octane tune. Ease back into 87 until you get the 91 tune.

Hmm...Good question not sure when I'll bring the stang down again. If and when I add line locks and SS brake lines. If not probably not untill the R&R show in July. Maybe sooner if we do a cruise or something.
