The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Nope, no accidents here knock on wood.

So I log in to see pics of the new Mustang and POTR is back up on the front page.. WTF happened. Figured this was long dead.

@Sal... hope this motor lasts. What caused the cylinder to go ?

I'm really, seriously debating on forging mine, going TR6060 or getting a new one altogether. I still hate my trans. First is getting stupid trying to get it to engage.Got a quote on 2K + to go through the 3650 and a guarantee that at my HP it'll fail again. *sigh*.

Anywho. At work the internet cops are worse than before and now in the dungeon they've stuck me in there is absolutely no reception so I can't even use the phone to browse TMS or hell get a signal of any sort. I get time before bed to surf the net and that's about it. So I check this place out once in a awhile but just don't have the time. Stupid work.

In short: Engine builder failure.
That thing never did live up to expectations and now since it has been disassembled, it never was what it was supposed to be in the first place.

This time around I bought a JDM short block with all the trimmings and extra sauce. I also have a reputable shop doing the work.
Looking for a happy ending this time.

Stay tuned.

This is the link that got me looking at JDM.

http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67138

I ended up getting a 302E (900 hp) instead of the 302EF (600 HP) because I want to push it further in the future, but the 302EF is a really inexpensive way to get a quality built forged stroker.
Hell, the 302E wasn't priced bad either!
