I know what you were referencing. I just HAD to know what the Brenspeed tune felt like.
You know that ultra-powerful urge I'm talking about, don't you Leo?

But hey, no harm, no foul. Car is running as good as it's going to get.

They're fine now but the install was a PITA. The passenger side header only went in after loosening the tranny mount and getting a tie strap around the tranny and having everyone pull to one side. Meanwhile George is under the car and pretty much has to ram it through. So yeah they're in and trouble free but none of us ever want to do that again. Think of it this way there was 7 of us working shifts and we still managed to get pissed of and frustrated. My hat goes off to anyone that managed to do the install by themselves.

I'm with you!

I know our stock oil specs call for 5W20, but I'm thinking of running 5W30 because of the motor being a shade different now. Thoughts?
Actually, first time for SB I was drunk, 2nd time was sober..... 1080p rocks, got a brand new 46" in the family room, moved the 40" into the bedroom, looking to replace the 55" in the basement with a 67".

Oil? Oil is oil, just change it and rock........ you pansy.

No you don't, unless they're long tubes. The shorties don't add anything other than sprucing up the engine bay a little (they're not that obvious). The only other thing they do is **** off anyone helping you.

As much of a PITA that was, it was a fun day. Just keep the wooden stools way from me

I must disagree Mr. Habu.

In addition to the sprucing up, they have undoubtedly changed the way my exhaust sounds now. The trumpeting, raspiness, and the hard burbling/popping are all but gone now. All that's left is a clean and badmuthaf'r sound.

I think that has more to do with the engine than the headers. While the shorties cleaned up the sound a bit for me it didn't rid me of anything nor was it worth the work to put them in.

So you ran the JBA - O/R-H - Stinger combo and didn't notice a big change in sounds?

only here to stir the pot
how well can you see the shorties ?? if it's anything like Leo's you can kinda see them....

How much of the exhaust note is attributed to the shorties vs. the blower ??
Listening to Leo's car, it sounds barely different from mine if I can tell at all. So catted + stingers vs. shorties + cats + stingers... no discernable difference. I'm sure it will smooths things out, but still not worth it by a long shot, IMO.

Nope. Just like I said before it smoothed it slightly but nothing worth spending $400+ for.

Totally agree. I think for Bill it's a combo of the new engine and blower.

Geez, after hearing Brian and your report on the shorties, glad I have the different piece of the puzzle.

Brian, take mine for a non-flogging test drive next time we're all together and you'll hear the difference.
