How about some pics Jed
I'm sitting outside Starbucks freezing my azz off mooching of next door's Staples WiFi just so Chris can get the midnight release of Gears of War 2 at Game Stop.

Dude if it's reserved you can just show up around 1230ish and avoid all the lines. No reason to be freezing your *** off for a game that regardless of how popular won't be sold out. Just saying.

^ Hey, I understand that, but tell that to a 13 y/o who thinks GOW2 is hotter than any chick in school.
Besides, anyone in line prior to the release is supposed to get something 'special'. Yeah, I know..
Hey, I got nothing better to do anyway, heard sleep is way overrated.

So what was the "little something special" you got for waiting in line ?? or do we really want to know.
Well, it ended up being some 'Golden Lancer' weapon (unlock code on a card) and 2 GOW2 themes for the dashboard. But I have this strange feeling that leftover cards from lastnight will be handed out today for free.
My next mod..
Alpine KCE-422i Ai-Net interface cable for iPod.
No complicated converter box install or a bunch of wiring to deal with. Just one cable. Easy.
Transfers iPod controls to the touchscreen. I just hopes it'll work on my iPhone; it should.
Perfect timing for this mod since I need to re-wire the sub-in RCA's to the back of the Alpine. Currently not getting any bass out of the door sub speakers.

So your Alpine screen will now be a large touch screen iPod? Sweeet
But these cables only go for ~$20 or so bucks on ebay, so it's not a huge investment.

I had my iPod hooked to my IVA-W200 with that cable Bill. I had the iPod in my console, ran the wires under the console and to the back of the Alpine HU. I never had any videos to display, but I liked never having to touch or have anyone see the iPod. You can pretty much control all of the necessary features that you will likely ever use from the HU. Not to mention direct connect = no BS interference.
In fact, not sure what will happen if I'm listening to a song on the iPod/iPhone thru the Alpine and a call comes in.
As far as cable routing, I haven't decided where to route it yet.
