OK, here is a question for the photo guys...
Here are two photos of almost the same thing(scaled down of course). The first I took...
The second I found somewhere else.
Now noticeably the second picture is much better. Is it just a function of the 75mm focal length or what ?? What am I missing ?
Looking at the Exif the pics are similar the second has a 75 focal length and a Fstop of 13. Mine is 27 and 11. I only have the kit 17-55mm lens. If I would have gone to full telephoto I still couldn't have gotten the QM in the background like this had.... Is it time to step up ?? Problem is I can't really get a "L" lens... gotta spend money on the car ya know. Still what should I look for/get ? That and perhaps we took the pics at a completely different time but is it a filter that gives it that better color ?? The sky is washed out in my pics but it's brilliantly blue in the second one ??

Running Vortech's A/W IC. And just had the car re-tuned with my new 3.33" pulley. With the stock 3.60" pulley I couldn't make 10psi as promised because my LTs flow too freely, lol. Needed the 3.33" to make the 10 psi. Your stock pulley is bigger then mine correct? The non cooled Vortech comes with a larger pulley then the 3.60" that comes with mine?
But you have the 3.33"?, just install that from the get go. Don't waste your time with the other one.

Yeah, those were seen on a mustang dyno. You may see higher numbers if your tuning on a dynojet and the fact that you don't have LT's will help you build more psi. You should post some fun numbers
Brian- I think thats the difference between a $600 camera and a $$$$ camera with a $$$$ lens.
Jed- Great pics! I would've loved to stop by in the morning as planned, but that wasn't going to happen. Can you burn me the pics on a CD? I throw a slideshow together for the contest.
Leo- What's the status of everything now?
Me- Best case scenario, end of the week. Most probable, end of next week.

Got my fingers crossed Bill.

Coming from an am here:
It could possible be a Neutral Density filter. Remember though, the further the focal length, the less light is being received through the lens. Take that, and shutter speed into account, and you've got just the right amount of light being let in. That's my two peasant cents on it.
We need Ray and Jed to shed light on the subject

Could be a filter that would resolve the washed out sky ?? Hopefully I can get that figured out. Also it looks like it might be time of day too. The second pic has the hood closed so it was after voting and after I had already left for the day. The focal length on mine was 27mm the second pic 75mm. I should have put up the exif data. It would have helped alot.
Brian were you shooting in Auto or Program? The difference maybe where the camera took its exposure reading. Also there are different exposure patterns that you can select that could effect how your picture is exposed. at the next shoot we can look at your setting.

EXIF data shows it's the same camera. Prolly all in the lens and that's why I asked what to get when I can't afford a L. If it's gonna take 1K+ to shoot that stuff, F that noise and I'll go back to point-n-shoot. I've already got one money pit, don't need another.
Got my fingers crossed Bill.

Robbie not sure I asked you yet or not. Are you going to the Mustang show at Mosi October 25th?

This is going to be my first show with TMS. And it seems there's a group of us going. You should come

Sweet.
You going up alone or you meeting up with that group?
I asked the question there but I'll ask it here. Going through the registration form. Not sure where I should enter in. I guess I qualify under two. The under 20(Young Owners) and Modified 2005+.

Actually, not really. Haha I guess Burke. I've talked to him since I've been a forum member here and there. Thats why I'm thinking about just meeting up at the Flea market. Introduce myself and group. They only plan on being there a short while and head over in a convoy of Mustangs
