I know George's PJ is set up this way too. it was only $79.00 bones from the TireRack. Thanks for the tip George

Ooooooaaaaaa. Where'd you strap yours in? Might have to do this if it's only $79.

I'm going to peek in the spare tire area and see what I can come up with. Probably simple straps or bungies. Ya I missed out on the game, I left work last night at midnite working on our menu roll out video for CPK. I was trying to get the Taco out for a night cap but he was fading. The next morning he had the BOOST-A-PUMP iinstall. Hey that thing in yet, are you "BAPtized"

Jed

Are we doing pre-cocktails?

If we could get the Styrofoam carrier that the gt500 uses, we could use the wing nut that currently hold down the spare tire. Thoughts?

Okay... I think I might bite on the "spare-tire" mod. I'll call the dealership Monday to see if I could get a part # for the styrofoam

That's more than a full size spare tire AND wheel.

great place you got there ray!

anything with "SVT" on it makes the price skyrocket

went to the racetrack last night, a guy I know was driving a car with about 1600hp, on his first run, he hit the second nitrous stage, and went four wheel sliding into the other lane, I do believe he mighta needed to change his drawers after that. But it'll be my last time going to the track for a while, there's too many motorcycles, waaaay to many. I did get to see a few S197's tho, even one guy said he'd used a TB writeup, but I dont remember what for.

Baseball games live are pretty awesome

That or Shelby....

Too bad about the cycles taking over from the sounds of it. Out here there are some but not many and the people that run the track evens things out pretty well. From bikes, real race cars and the everyday run whatcha brung types.

Two thumbs up for Ray being such a great host. Waay too much food and that isn't a bad thing at all. The ribs were excellent, as was everything else. Beautiful house and scenery. What more could you want on a Great day like today, BBQ, Friends, Beer, So Cal

How difficult is it to install the CDC ducktail spoiler? Or SSE for that matter both bassically the same right?

EDIT: I did find a write-up on CDC's website. So I guess my question is how difficult is it to get everything lined up perfectly? Is it as straight forward as the installation sheet makes it out to be?

if you mark everything, with painters tape, on the car where you want it installed then it isn't too bad. before you drill anything, for the CDC, test fit everything. one you have it where you want it mark the spots or edges with the painters tape.

On the SSE since it's held in with just 3M tape it is probably easier. I installed it twice. The first time it wasn't lined up right with the side pieces. Took it off and started over. As much as it doesn't seem like there would be room for error, there is. So prefitting everything is critical, IMO.

I don't really see any big advantage to this swap.
The .80 OD and first gear being little taller can be good with a really low rear end (minimum of 4.10).
The rest of it gains no real mechanical advantage.
