I know everybody here in POTR is broke as a joke (and I know that's no joke! ), however, I feel compelled to offer anyone here some sweet deals before I post them in the For Sale thread or ebay.

POTR Sale over. See the new prices over in the For Sale thread.

All proceeds will fund my aluminum driveshaft project.

j/k.. I just wanted to avoid taking stuff on and off multiple times by installing a couple mods at once. Guess it's just more practice for me.

We all know you are an I want it now guy, that’s never a question here

You are also, from what I can tell, by nature an efficient man so it kills you to have to do things in sequence when you possibly and to them in parallel or tandem

So its conundrum time for me.

I think I figured out a way to get the Mrs. To approve my window tint ($200) but after that I’m stone walled because my funding has gone dry and I don’t see where I will have any refresh of funding anytime soon. That’s very depressing to me …………….

And if I get my hands on $500 or $600 what will be my first mod or only mod……………..I’m leaning to the 4.10 Gears of War.

Its one of those you buy one big present or get a few smaller presents. Not sure but I’ll cogitate on it a bit more.

Dang Phil! Stop using those big words amongst us commoners! (I had to look them up).

I have some firearms too, but I don't think I could cut loose of them even though it's been YEARS since I last shot them.

It is a good idea though to sell and get rid of stuff you probably won't ever use again and funnel that money to something that you will use now.

Tough question in what to do if you has $600 to blow. Keep in mind, gears are a big commitment. There'll be some serious considerations that'll come into play once you decide on gears..
  • Install issues - There's always a chance on a botched job that'll result in gear whine, groan, leaks, etc.
  • Warranty issues - Got a warranty claim on any part of the driveline? Forget it, you'll be on your own.
  • Drivability - If you frequent the highways, you'll be revving higher, thus resulting in a decrease in mpg.
... all in trade for some 'neck snapping' acceleration fun!

Or, like you said, get a bunch of smaller performance and cosmetic mods. Ahh, the choices...

Thus the conundrum............................

But your points you bring up are all the ones that cause me incessant worry.

I keep forgetting the warranty side of this and I use my GT for my daily ride but that’s also the cool part as I so love driving this beast. Its a hoot to say the least.

I think you slapped some sense into me Bill from a warranty/reliability point of view. May go with the CM deletes, UDP and either the ¼ louvers or Ford Racing Blue CamCovers.

Thanks Bill for the slap ha

Oh and can you believe its raining here in Houston, come on now…………..I’ve avoided getting caught in rain since I picked up my car which I suppose is a record here in H-Town. 4 weeks or so I think

I wish Tom was on, he'd give you a good vocabulary battle!

And Phil, anytime you need a slap on the back of the head, just let me know.

Just want to remind you that installing CMDP's and UDP's might also cause you some grief in getting warranty work honored. Any fuel, charging, cooling, induction, belt tensioners (or idlers) issues may not be covered if they find these 2 mods installed.

As it is now, any transmission related issues may not be covered either.

Your CAI is no big deal, it can be brought back to stock and PCM re-flashed in less than an hour.

Lots of things must be considered when entertaining performance mods.

I don't want to sound all negative, but would hate to see you in a situation where the Dealer won't honor the warranty because of a mod you did.

Then again, you could do as me and not give a flying !

Like I didn't see that coming.

I'm OK with the MGW shifter, I can get that back to original if I needed to but I highly don't think we are going to have an issue there.

I would not think CamCovers have a negative impact on any aspect of warranty?

I'll bang my head against the wall all by myself Bill thank you very much.

Maybe I need to take the path Bill is taking and sell something I own, lol. I have this great and fairly new Smith & Wesson 44Mag Mountain gun, that should fetch me $500 or so, maybe its time to part with that……….. I’m getting desperate if you can’t tell.

Dang! That's the kind of response I was hoping for in pitching my 3 Mustang related parts.

Well, if Phil wasn't so garrulous, I would be able to keep up.

But since my internet access at work is so circumscribed, there's no way!

I knew you were kidding me Tomster, but that was a good choice of wording, I'm so impressed. He tunes and builds fantastic Mustangs and has command of the English language. WOW

Unfortunately Tom has trouble getting the SC Police emblem positioned on his Mustang correctly, like backwards

Good stuff Bill but I'm all tapped out

I know some very smart TMS buddy will be jumping on some or all of this stuff.

Here's the final picture after Jackie did her magic on the brightness and contrast... and after I did my magic on the emblem. I also removed the chrome gas cap on the blue car behind me. It was making my dash too cluttered:

She's going to have it blown up to a 11 x 14. Should look pretty good - it's a 3 MB picture.
