I'm Back!!!!!! Well it's been the most horrible week ever. I'll just give a quick run down.
Monday-Hired at "New Line Promotions"
Tuesday-Had another "skin graph" done on one of my teeth.
Wednesday-Work 12+ hours
Thursday-Coming down with flu. Work 12+ hours anyway. Find out through course of the day new job is a variation of a pyramid scheme. Quit job.
Friday-Out of work again and not feeling very well.

I'll explain more of what happened on the job via pm or in person (Bill,Brian,Steve)

With that said I planning on just getting a part time job and start working towards a degree.

So as you can see the Stang has been the last thing on the mind this past week.

I'm sorry to hear about everything that happened to you this week, but am glad to see that you were able to "check in".

Hopefully everything will get better.

Well, you're in a tough spot. Keep it on and eventually get your car keyed. Or, take it off and put your tool back in your shorts. You can't win Brian.

So what's the next mod, Leo?

j/k bro, it'll all work out. Worst that could happen is you can hang out here in TMS with your friends.
If you were closer, I'd go and buy you a beer.

Leo,
Give me a call. I'll buy ya a beer. you're only about 10 minutes from me.

On another note, I got my PBF emblems today. Did a test fit on the car and I'm not sure if I like them or not. I mocked it up on the fender just below the GT/CS stripe (I'll take pics once the camera battery is charged), then tried on the trunk, then on the passenger side dash. Wasn't really feelling it. I mean it looks ok, but also kinda looks outta place. The good thing is, that there is still a bunch of folks looking for these emblems and I could probably sell them to someone else on the forum.

I have the old school PBF emblem, feel the same way. Mine is currently stowed in the roll-a-way.

Well the wife just looked at it and confirmed what I was thinking. They just look out of place on the car, no matter where I put them. So what to do? I think I just might sell them, I've got enough junk floating around the garage right now.

Any one here interested? I'll give a good price!

Thanks for the support guys.

Steve-I had the same problem when I tried looking for a spot to put the old school emblem Bill let me borrow. They look cool by themselves but out of place on the car.

Here's the new Alpine DVD/CD/NAV head unit I'm eyeballing... the Alpine IVA-W205.
It won't be released until some time in May.

What's so special about this receiver you ask?

This is why... Attachment 24032 Attachment 24033

That's right, it will be able to internally dock the (also upcoming) Blackbird PBD-P200 Portable GPS Receiver. Once docked, all GPS controls get transferred to the 6.5" touch-screen panel.

That's kinda cool looking. I'd never use the gps, except for maybe just the novelty of having it. I could see it coming in handy for somethings though.

Sorry to hear you've had a bummer week. Sucks about the job, but I'm sure you'll find/get a good one soon. Hope you're feeling better.

Funny you mention this. I've looked at a couple portable ones and I think I like the harmon kardon GPS-500.. I don't usually need them but they are pretty cool. Especially if you're stuck in traffic and looking for a way around everything. Personally I'd only get a portable because I do like my Shaker 1000 well enough that it's probably never gonna get replaced.

Don't think of them just as a novelty.. it's what got us to Cheeseburger Cheeseburger that one day without getting lost or sidetracked.

Don't you mean the Skipper 1000?

j/k.. our head units are pretty good, but they just can't hold a light to one that plays DVD's, NAV, rear camera, or even a PS2 slim (yup, thinking about this too )

I won't send them any updated pics of mine, Tom. I'll let you gleem in the spotlight there as long as you want.

Too bad you don't have the MGW seat back levers in that open door pic. That's the one shot that will show them off nicely!

btw.. recognize the car in BSM's banner?

Hey guys just got back from a golf tournament. It was 39 and windy, WTF We finished second and I won a Closest to the Pin so it was all good

Thanks everyone for the Birthday wishes. My Mom and Brother took me out to Red Lobster for a little Steak & Lobster hmmh mm.
Drove up on a fatal wreck on the way back. A car apparently hydro planed, crossed the center line, and smashed into an oncoming semi truck. Killed the driver of the car and hurt the passenger. Terrible situation.

Leo-Sorry to hear the job was a bust, but working for a degree is a good thing. Good Luck.

Bill-Head unit looks cool. Let us know when u get it and install lol
