Yes, dremeling the point of contact area is a fix, but why should we be forced to mame and disfigure our hood when it should have been engineered with sufficient clearance from the start.

My point can't be argued. I'm 100% right on this.

I remember telling this to everyone back in February, yet many have chose to bend their hanger rods.
Adjusting the mid-pipe clamps will also relieve any clamping issues over the axle caused by preload.
I agree. The rubbing really didn't bother me - but the hood bulge! No way would I keep them on with that problem.

Did you email them? I PM'd them about the hood bulge since they think the clear tape fixes the problem. Not quite.

About the tip adjustment - I know you showed everybody and I was just saying how good it works.

No, I haven't contacted them. Leo is my POC.

The screwy was not meant for you (as you did use the mid-pipe clamps), but for all the non-believers.

Hope everyone had a great T-Day... anyone still full like I am ??

I do have a quick question(s). I am installing or planning to install FRPP stingers & X-Pipe and the Hurst shifter this weekend. Would it be better to remove the stock H-Pipe and then put in the Shifter before I install the X-Pipe ??? or is the mid-pipe out of the way enough to work on the shifter ?

Thanks
Brian

You can do it with the stock H-Pipe there, but since you are changing it anyway, I would do what you said - take out the stock H-Pipe, change the shifter, then install the X-Pipe. You'll have more room to work.

Yes, I'm still full!

Thanks Tom !!
Oddly enough I'm looking forward to a left-over turkey sandwich this weekend.
I'm gonna try and get a couple of before & after vids if I can. I don't have a nice recorder though.

It sucks that the covers aren't working out. I was unsure about them until I saw Bill & Leo's at the Sunset show. I was going to look into them until this cropped up..... I hope MW takes care of you guys.

Well guess what I learned on my way home and back this Thanksgiving ??
The Hi-Po informed me that it was illegal to run the "Fog Lights" unless it was rainy or bad weather conditions.
Here is how the story goes.
I cruising down Highway 281 Wed evening about 8:30pm running 70 or so.
Of course I have the DRLs and Low Beams on, not paying much attention, when I look back and see the old faithful Blue & Reds flashing behind me.
I pull over and roll down the window, fumbling to kill the Start Wars movie playing on the Alpine
HI-PI: "Driver can you turn your brights off"
ME: Sir I don't have my brights on.
HI-PO: Are those your fog lights? Turn those off then.
ME: They are not fog lights either they are running lights but I'll flip them off.
HI-PO: Driver come back to my car please.
ME: Do I need my Insurance Verification?
HI-PO: No, just your license.
(OK I',m safe now if he isn't asking for that.)
HI-PO: Sir it is illegal to drive with those lights on unless the weather is permitting, snowing raining, etc. I thought those were your brights, cause they are really bright.
HI_PO: Is that a protective cover over your license plate?
ME: Yes Sir.
HI_PO: That is also illegal.
ME: Your freaking kidding me?
HI_PO: No sir, but I don't care about that.
HI_PO: I am just giving you a warning.
ME: Thank you sir
My first pullover in the Stang, had to share.

He didn't give you a ticket because it is not in the Florida driver's manual.

He just told you that because he pulled you over thinking you had your highbeams on. He personally thinks the fogs are too bright and wants you to drive without them (won't hold up in court when they are factory isssue).

Nice story, thanks for sharing. Too bad you didn't have your camera, would've made a good pic.

Fog Lights may be illegal to run without fog, but Driving Lights can be turned on when you are, uh, driving.

He would need the Oklahoma driver's manual.

Just used some of my Mustang money to buy a washer and dryer. (I had to mention a Mustang to keep it on topic.)

I went there saying we wouldn't spend more than $1000, but after seeing these awesome machines, we ended up getting a front-loader washer and a dryer for $1850!

Those front-loaders are cool - only use 13 gallons of water compared to 40 gallons that top-loaders use and practically no soap. No aggitator to mess up clothing, either.

These things are beautiful - I may even start doing laundry now.

Nice! Those front loaders are pretty cool. Seems like most all the manufacturers are either switching to front loaders or offer both.

Leo has been promoted to the rank of Gear Head.

He can now swap out an H in no time flat!

How are the cat-to-frame clearances... did you notice?

Daryl and mine are both "plenty of room on driver's side, and can't put your fingers in between the cat and the frame on the passenger side".

Doh!
I forgot to check that out.

Leo, do you recall how close the cats are to the frame?
