New V6 is nothing to Laugh at
I was one of those guys who always thought lower of the V6 Mustang. I was one who thought that if your going to own a muscle car why put a V6 in it.
Well I have officially changed that attitude. I have a 2012 GTCS with a V8. It is slightly modified and is a monster on the road. It dyno'd at 416 RWHP with 395 lbs of torque. Being a show car and only 2500 made and only 1800 coupes I did not want it to be a daily driver any more. So I bought a new daily driver. I bought a 2013 V6 vert. I was not as excited at first because it was a V6. Well as I drove it more and more and put it through it's paces I did get more excited. They really do boot scoot and Boggie. So I will no longer look down at V6. Lesson learned.

That will boost performance, Response and Gas mileage. It made a huge difference on the V8 so it should do nicely here.

exhaust ford racing X-pipe and GT500 Mufflers.
The shaker hood also may have something to do with better air flow since it does pressurize the engine compartment. Can't feed the filter directly since it is a CIA.

Add long tubes and a dyno tune, you'll be around 440 wheel.

I can imagine. I owned an '11 XLT SCREW with the 3.7L. I moved that big truck really well, and with the lower weight of the Mustang it's gotta be very quick. It's a good looking ride Brad. Enjoy

The straight SCT Tuner.
I was told by a mustang shop that only get SCT tune. He said the others use the SCT Tune and put their name on it. The issue is they put their own tunes on them and they are not as good. He said the others tend to have junk tunes on them.

That is not true for all vendors. We write our own custom tunes and ... we have worked with SCT on many projects.
The only tune we put our name ... is the tune that we create.

The Steeda Cold Air Intake is so effective at improving airflow into the 3.7L engine that a performance tune is not just recommended, it is required for maximum performance! In an effort to maximize performance and provide our customers with only the very best products we have partnered with the leader in automotive tuning - SCT Performance.
Combined with the required custom tune using an SCT X3 Flash programming device we have achieved dramatic power increases of up to 20hp and 30ft/lbs of torque!
