NEW Mach 1 is SWEET

My wife and I were at this dealership in WI the other day buying a 2014 Mustang GT. This Mach 1 beauty was sitting in the showroom and was incredible to see in person. The photos just do not work right compared to being there. They cranked it up for us too. Of course we didn't have the $$$ but it's fun to share. The list was about $65k plus the dealership wanted an extra $7k. Here is the Mach 1 link: https://www.homanford.net/new-Ripon-...6P8R09N5551860

I'll write a thread about my 'new ride' (with photos) eventually. I wrote a little something in the California Special section here just saying goodbye to our 2007 GT/CS. There is a photo there of both the old and new.

yeah, kinda makes me want to say "screw my retirement savings and my daughter's dreams of going to grad school, I'm getting myself a new Mach 1!"

so it's a good thing they are charging that premium, because I absolutely refuse to pay over MSRP, LOL

Yeah, the Mach 1 cars are very nice. Especially like the one that you posted, the Handling Pack cars. Very nice.

Agree with all of you. I would swap mine for one if the right one comes a long. Kind of the best of the GT - GT350 - and bits of the new GT500. Love to have one!!!

Edit: The one you posted looks pretty sweet... Just too much $$$ right now.

Pure lust

Local dealer has 2. I’ve drooled over them a few times. I actually went to buy one twice now. Two things turned me away. Number one: 30K markup and two: One of their managers kept telling me to keep the car I’ve got because it’s special.
The Machs are gorgeous and I’d love the better brakes and magnaride suspension. The extra 400 pounds not so much and I also refuse to pay the markup. If they ever drop the markup then who knows. I might go nuts, sell whatever it takes and take one home.

Dealer is right, giving up a Boss would be a lot tougher….

Unless taking into consideration factors such as improvements in platform chassis, IRS and interior quality materials, S197 vs S550

True.

I love the BOSS cars, but the S107 platform is a totally different animal than the S550. I remember when I first got into my S550 car and drove it, I was like,........ummmmmmm, I think I made a huge mistake!!! LOL
It's a totally different kind of beast. Very tame and definitely not as "raw feeling" as the S197 cars.
