Mustangs in the Movies: "Need for Speed"

When one feels the need, the need for speed, only F-14 Tomcats and Mustangs will do.

At least that's what the good folks at Ford figured when they had the good sense to partner with DreamWorks on last spring's Need for Speed, a high-octane race-for-revenge flick loosely based on the swell-selling video game of the same name. And by partnering, I mean Ford likely gave DreamWorks a boatload of cash to feature a gorgeous custom 'Stang that beats the slicks off some of the world's sickest supercars.

It was a bit too dramatic for my liking... but it did inspire some really fun driving on some local twisties on the way home from the theater. :)

I finally caved and watched this the other night when I wasn't feeling too well and it was just way too dramatic..I'm all for some movie magic here and there but the 20 seconds of hang time into a nose dive and the car just driving away, Come on!

I'd love to see/hear who specifically was dealt with the task of building the car though, it was certainly wild!
