Mustangs in the Movies - I am Legend

It hurts to say this, but we would trade the majority of your healthy human existences for the 2007 Shelby GT500 that Will Smith drives around an abandoned New York City in Francis Lawrence's I Am Legend. While there's certainly something disconcerting about the fact that Big Willy's ride can't keep up with a herd of deer, we'll attribute that to driver error. Deer should be no problem, what with 500 horsies pushed out of a supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8, even if ol' Shelby is pushing maximum density at 3,896 pounds.

While that may be a bit clunky for some, just think how effective the weight would be for mowing down zombies. When the sound of squealing zombies becomes too much for our tired ears, we’ll just rev up and drown out all that post-apocalyptic rage with the sound of sweet, sweet Mustang.

I remember that scene, I was so glad they made sure to get the sound of the supercharger whine.

It was well edited

Unlike Getaway which was ridiculous and never had any whine at all

Did anyone mentioned the Mustang's debut on film? How about James Bonds Goldfinger in 1964, which was probably the only time I was teed off at 007! He destroyed the side of the Mustang with his hubcap shredders on his DB7! :007: :flamethrower:
