Mustangs & Fords at local show Oct 8

I didn't bring my 'new' 2014 GT as I have plans to show it elsewhere in the near future, so I brought my R/T to this one. I thought I would share some photos. About 75 cars registered on a beautiful day here in Franklin NC. Certainly not a big show but always fun to attend. The conversations with 'car folks' never gets old.
It was so bright that the reflection in my Challenger's paint showed that old green Ford truck beautifully in the last photo.

It was a beautiful day for sure. I need to get off my lazy rear end, and take our old car to some shows again. Like you I do enjoy just talking to the other folks. The camaraderie is outstanding.

Yes, you must attend because this will all be gone one day unfortunately. I keep that in mind every time.

On the bright side, there must be a 'car gene' in some of us. A small boy, I would guess 4 or 5 years old, was down on his knees studying a front tire on my R/T. He was there for quite awhile and he noticed that one of the lug nuts was different. I explained to him that it was a locking type, one for each wheel. He also was fascinated by the red brake calipers. I found out later his dad also owned a Challenger but didn't have the locking lug nuts or red calipers. Quite observant for such a young boy. Certainly made me smile.

That is a fun part of a show is when the kids get involved. We were at the Speedway with our Corvette club, and had our previous '72 Roadster parked beside a new C6. There were two young fellas in a serious conversation about which car was the fastest. One looked at me and said, "sir, would you tell him that the old one would out run the new one". I told him I was sorry to tell you this son, but the old one would still be sitting on the line trying to take the gas, while the new one would be half way down the track. He looked at me , shook his head, and walked off while his friend told him "I told you so". I got a good chuckle out of that.

Always love seeing the show pictures. Thanks for sharing! Great Pictures! Cool cars.

Yes it all starts with some young interested kids. I have a 5 yr old grand son that can ID many of the cool sporty cars running around the area. Especially if it is a BMW (His Dads favorite), Pony Car (as he calls them…. Mustang, Camaro, Challenger). Ferrari, Lamborghini, Tesla, Audi, Porsche, Corvettes, and many others that he loves. Knows logos of most Manufacturers too. My son has taught him well with some influence from me.
