I think its fair to say, that you are a dumb mother ****er. Black bear males will climb trees and fight with each other over territory. Fight right there in a tree, and kick each other's asses. Amazing how little you know about the wildlife around you considering you live in Ca. and that state has a huge population of black bears. You must be a ***** city boy that doesn't know what goes on a few miles away from your little world.

I don't go camping and if its a choice between being eating on the ground and a chance in the tree. I'm taking the ****ing tree. What the hell are you supposed to do?

Please do go hiking in somewhere like Yellowstone NP, and climb a tree when you see a brown bear. Please, do that for us.

Never carry a gun to discourage a brown bear. And don't even think about it with black bears, they will fall all over themselves to get away from you, I've seen it many times. The rate of people injured and killed when trying to defend themselves against a brown bear with a gun is not good. Bear spray (capsicum spray) is much more effective against them and leads to less bears injured and less humans mauled. Bears are super intelligent, a blast of bear spray teaches them to avoid humans, a gun will get you in trouble with them. A puny gun will get your **** mauled, and injure and endangered species. If you do kill it, you're going to have to field dress it and tote it out, and possibly pay fines.
A good spray is the best deterrent to a grizzly in a close confrontation. The best thing is making noise and respecting their territory when hiking out West. They will avoid you and get away if they know you are in the area. They don't come looking for people, people wander up on them.

Been there multiple times, hiked it from north to south through various NPs. Some great places, but I couldn't live there. Are those your pictures or just some **** you pulled off the internet?

I don't take picture of places. I surf @ Huntington Beach and Newport and many other beaches. I snowboard @ Big bear mountain. I ride dirt bikes at Glamis Dunes. I actual have fun and not just dream about it...NATHAN!!!

That's a bull**** cop out. You live in Ca. and I've probably seen, hiked and photographed more amazing things in that state than you have. I've hiked and traveled through NPs and forests that you probably have never visited and you live there. Most of my pics are on another computer, but I think I have a few here. Ever been to Death Valley? Most people think of it as a scorching hot no man's land, I've got pics of it snowing like a **** there and it was blistering hot the day before. I've hiked trails from Washington, through Oregon and down into CA.
You're basically pissing away your opportunities if you live in that beautiful state and are not exploring it. I'm not surprised though, I know your kind.

And by the way, you know what hangs out at Huntington and Newport beaches? A bunch of limp d***ed hipsters that are oblivious to the country and parks that are right there around them in a day's drive and some hiking, they don't leave their bubble, they thing the whole world revolves around them and there is nothing outside of that little world. Been there, done that.Bunch of dip****, burn out, self important hipsters.

I do the things I enjoy and not the things I don't.
Hiking isn't one of my enjoyments, but I guarantee you have done more here than me. Sorry that's just a fact. If it makes you feel good just to look at things than all power to you, but I prefer to do more than look.
