Geebzzz... Christmas bah booshee...
I finally get a call from my older sisters. It was a nice call. At the end my bro in law says - hey - we're family - call us... Really? Is that why all of you were silent this last year while I went through some face the wall stuff? Phony. Thank goodness for my faith to sustain me in confidence!!
I am very private living in a very private world. Didn't plan it that way, just how life circumstances have turned out. I have adapted and adjusted for years now and am perfectly happy and am at a wonderful state of peace. So I have had zero of my absolute privacy since the health spa 12.3. I am thankful for my nice neighbor up from California for Dec to care for my horses for 3 weeks while I was on Doc restrictions. She has done a great job.
So I told her Monday I'm ready to take over (like Apr after 3 weeks past surg). The extra walking (carrying just one flake of hay at a time) is nothing but healthy for me. Paid her for 3 wks.
But being the strange hyper Californians that they are, they don't know how to sit still during retirement. They are always scurrying about like they are insane. They have a couple of half million dollar places and a diesel pusher RV and are pretty fat on their government pensions, but can't stop to smell the roses. Always rustling about like two rats.
Now I can't get rid of her. Hover mother. She drives over yesterday afternoon in her little Kabota to the barn after I'm done feeding then calls me. I'm out front clearing snow off my truck so as to get out if I need to. I tell her everything is fine and the exercise feels good and is pleasing to my Docs. She says she wants to help in the morning feeding but I tell her I've got it. I appreciate the concern but I know there's more going on....
So today after talking to my sisters I try and catch up for my dinner by cooking off some ribs on the bbq to throw in the crock pot. Here she comes up the back from the barn all cheery and gives me a care package/dinner while I'm out on the deck cooking. Hair standing up on my neck cause of huge invasion of privacy, but I bite my tongue. I mean she's giving me a dinner right? Keep in mind there's almost 2' of snow on the ground and its snowing hard. She's like a time clock - which I freaking hate. Maybe I don't want to feed at 4pm, maybe I want to feed at 4.20... That's really nice to bring me some dinner, but I know there's more going on...
A) She has already told me she and her hubby eat tv dinners. I never eat that ****. Why don't you cook lady?
B) She told me yesterday she went to town and wanted to get her traditional Christmas Eve dinner of Menudo and Tamales, but Safeway Deli didn't have any. So she bought canned tamales. Really???
C) The Care Package is freaking overboiled broccoli, mushy rice, and other **** from a tv dinner. A tamale from a can. Really??? And no chocolate?? lol I mean she's a 4'6" Mexican lady, retired with too much time on her hyper hands, and doesn't cook her own tamales??? And here I'm cooking off these beautiful racks of beef ribs in front of her... rofl
D) Thankfully I had clothes on when she walked up and I was out turning the ribs because usually...
So then she insists she has to feed for evening. I should be (and was) thankful but again... I want my private world back!! I don't want to punch her time clock!!!
Gonna have to start closing the back gate here soon if she keeps up...
I know I'm supposed to accept this gracefully (and do) but there's more than being nice to me going on.... Either she hates her husband, has this misplaced mother gene, or is truly borderline crazy in retirement...

Mama Jill was working hard
Preparing for the season
Decorating Christmas tree
A Christmas Story was the reason
Steffers rushed to fill her list
With mods to her Mustang
Starbucks gift cards for her friends
And an Xbox game

Charlie working on his house
And busting all the libtards
Raising horses in the north
Santa bring a clean health card
Gary wants a new Shelby
Added to his stable
Dealer said that he would see
And get it if he’s able

Lee was playing Christmas host
Feeling fine and frisky
Staying up all night to post
And drinking all the whiskey
Nathan baking Christmas treats
Posting pics of Sandy
It’s a mystery what he eats
Surely its not candy

Well, uneventful Christmas....stayed home and didn't visit family so there was no drama impacting me from Yeti the sister in law....but there was PLENTY of Drama from Yeti as the 38 year old has resorted to childish slamming of doors and other 6 year old behavior....the wife gets dragged into every conflict by phone, she has thanked me more than once for moving her 800 miles away from that nonsense.
My father had an incident where Mr. Tire failed to properly torque his lug nuts and his front tire came OFF the car! Mr. Tire refused to own up to it....typical BS chain store that hires incompetent and unqualified people!
Now it's time for me to head to the Dr. and get the last needle injection to the knee....hoping this does the trick.
Morning all!

sounds like whoever did that was absent from tire college on lug nut day...

I'd go over his head, and let them know how big of a lawsuit could have been as a result of someone's negligence.
